Yes and no you don’t actually parry the sword bit of the spell you parry the staff

You can parry most spells, if you have the right shield.

No you can parry the farron flashsword with any shield or caestus

@@nicedreams7192 The other difference is that spell parries don’t allow you to riposte. Or even send the spell back to the caster. It’s such a shame that those shields are practically useless in PvE, it’d be so nice to have more spellcasters in the mobs.

Having in mind that awesome scythe grab attack Friede has, I feel weird about scythes not having special crit animations in the game. The regular crits look so awkward on the scythe :(.

Funny, the first time I went through that area I immediately found out about that. It was borderline instinctual, that I knew what to do when I saw that spot. The random stone platform, with the center having a crumbled look to it, when there's a giant ballista shooting at me... my Metroid-fan senses were tingling!!

...in this area there is a wall with a ring hidden behind it...the ballista-arrows can shot it down...jut like this pit. Found the pit in my first playthrough....the ring behind the wall way later in ng++ i think :D ... I have over 500h playtime too and 100% achievements....and still i find new things from time to time :D

I found 3 people in Crucifixion woods, and we all just messed around at Farron Keep Perimeter. Then another invader joined us. After like 15 minutes one by one, they started fighting me. I beat the first two, then a blade of the darkmoon, then 1v2ed a host and dark spirit, only killing the spirit. (after I killed another blade the host came in)

u know i can appreciate someone learning to parry.. you tend to use it too much when learning as its kinda at the top of your mind and basically u just think about it more cause ur learning and its such a high risk... but just spamming it over and over doesn't do anything to help your timing, im not sure he would have parried chase even if chase did continue attacking on 90% of those parry attempts

@6:40 imagine infusing your UGS with bleed lol.. even a noobie can understand that infusing a slow af weapon with an infusion that you want to spam to increase the buildup makes 0 sense. I wonder if he's ever actually bled anything? is it even possible to bleed something with that?
