@@fabi3790 I'd hazard a guess you take your time. 90% of people who hate Blighttown so much are of the "This section sucks, I'm gonna rush through it as fast as I can" and dont' make the connection that their rushing is what is killing them. To be fair, it was worse on the original console release where the whole area ran at like 15 fps, but that's a non-issue for the remaster.

@@doomed89 Rushing in that scenario is exactly why players die so often there. Ignoring the framerate issues (which no longer exist in Remastered anyway), the toxic blowdarters are placed and have accuracy designed to make the player panic, and when they panic, they rush, trying to get to the bonfire at the bottom as quickly as possible. And that's why they fall so often or get blindsided by other enemies and have to start from the top again. As for the swamp itself, taking your time, moving from island to island, letting the poison meter decline, again, is far safer and less lethal than trying to rush and aggroing everything in your path. The never-ending mosquito spawn is what is designed to try to make you rush there, and again, rushing is punished if you don't know exactly where everything else is.

@@ashwolf2006 If you are mk just lighting riposte (when fighting eliminators also use ice sword) and just bait rushes (eliminators are easier to bait than elder ogres). Sure you need good shield for this but at least you can do something not like those fucking mimics that have no tell, your pawns are braindead and if you are just alone then just use a wakestone (they made escapes from grabs too hard especially if like me you are playing on keyboard). Mimics are the worst addition they made as it incentivizes just ignoring chests and going for the ones you know are safe. A mob good in theory but made literal shit. As for harcore (i guess you mean one life) as rerolling loot is tied to death i don't see the point. It just means you will spend 50 times more time farming for what you need to do any real damage. A game needs to be just right to be permadeath viable (for me far cry 3 on master difficulty one life was awesome as you could die in like a hit or 2 but if you felt the jungle you could go through it all just fine though disabling music was required for me at least.).

Might just be my experience, but a quick note about the skull lantern: it’s actually a guaranteed drop if you kill ALL of the necromancers in the catacombs. I think people are so used to rushing the area that they miss one of them and assume that the lantern is a lucky drop (which it admittedly is otherwise), but I have never missed the lantern myself because I make sure I kill all of the necromancers. Also, nice job on the run! I consider myself a DS1 veteran and I think you actually did better with your build than I do when I play normally!
