Grass Crest shield still gives you extra stamina regen even if it's on your back. Use that claymore with both hands, it ads +50% extra virtual strength!

There is a secret boss in anor londo under the staircase that you can move. also when you go to anor longdo before the lord vessal. You can use the black eye orb in the area with the two giants to invade the killer of your firekeep and gain the firelink bonfire back, or upgrade your flask again.

You can buy his armor later, just go to the merchant under the bridge 🥳 Imagine how strong prime Sir Artorias the Abysswalker was, I'd like to think he was a menace and maybe around level 100 in his prime. This one is already hallowed, has an injured left arm so he couldn't wield his shield and has worn out armor set (lower defensive stats).

To hit Artorias out of that power buff you have to hit him a few times. Usually 2-3. Shielding can work against him, but you need some kind of Greatshield upgraded to the maximum. Grass Crest does not have the stability for bosses.

Despite being underlevel you did a great job,good luck for kalameet and manus, manus is the hardest boss in the game with artorias after this the main game bosses is a cakewalk you will not face that problem exexpt four kings make sure to use havels Armor for poise and fast weapons for dps race and if the walk to the boss arena is too long you can kindle the bonfire upto 10 estus so you still have some estus when you run back to the boss arena and you can kindle upto 20 estus after getting defeating pinwheel!! This series is kinda addictive, watching someone first playthrough is very funny and nostalgic for me who have completed ds1 4 times!😂❤

My brother in souls, you never use your shield from what I saw. Just two hand your sword, the shield effect will stay and you'll hit way harder too since two handing gives you 50% more str stats. Also, congrats on your hunt, be ready to die a bit. (btw, the gardener plant guys are the vegetebales you see in darkroot garden in present time.)

Grats for beating Artorias! Not an easy enemy, kudos for doing it solo. The serpent indeed threw a hissy fit cuz you jumped down lol. You should've hit him in the head with your poky stick obviously. (seriously that is how you wake him up). You don't lose much except he is the only merchant who you can sell stuff to (by feeding him) and can break some titanite up, but its just something that makes the game easier, everything is achievable without good ol' Frampt, so no worries! Also he canonically has smelly breath so eh. Some technical things the game doesnt really mention but is good to know, but doesn't really matter so if you skip em you won't be worse for it: 1. The game has some severe cases of input queuing, thats why when you press dodge a bunch you sometimes dodge once more when you already wanna move. It makes it a bit clunky and sometimes it feels like the game dropping inputs, but you just have to be deliberate with your inputs. 2. As for knocking Artorias out of his charging, you didn't manage it in one hit because you didn't do enough poise damage. This I don't think is explained in the game really, but basically you and the enemy have a stat called poise (like an invisible 3rd bar besides hp and stamina). The higher it is the harder you stagger. Thats why sometimes when you swing your weapon the enemy can interrupt you, because they dealt enough poise damage to empty this bar, and when they don't you can finish your move even though you are hit. This works on enemies too, so in Artorias' case you had to deal enough poise damage to him to stagger him before he finishes channeling. You mostly get poise from armor and the hawk ring. You might wanna go through your clothes and weapons and examine each stat carefully, there is a details button in the inventory which lets you navigate all the stats and gives little explanations.

Dark souls has a pratice to do flooded floors to benefit you or the enemy by eletric buff or fire resistance. You should really go for the great souls first like bed of chaos, 4 kings, seath and me 🤣 Them do kalameet, Artorias, Manus and gwyn to end with a golden sequence
