Reminds me of how for the promotion of Silent Hill they "kidnapped" journalists and had them go through a silly labyrinth with creepy nurses.

I have paused the video to come down to the comments section and personally thank Jay for correcting his pronunciation of Yorkshire. As an English person, married to an American who thinks it's hilarious to torture me with his deliberately incorrect pronunciation of Worcestershire (and Leicestershire and Yorkshire etc etc) - I thank you, from the bottom of my pedantic little heart. You have earned 2 British Merits of The Realm (this is a real thing I promise...)

Of the games mentioned here, the only game I don't go back and play on the regular is DS2. Gun to my head forced to choose, DS3, Bloodborne, and Elden Ring are my favorites. I love the gameplay and vibe of DS3/ Bloodborne and I was more obsessed with Elden Ring than anything I can remember. Memorable experiences abound.

otogi 1 and two were my first fromsoftware games. my older cousin had them, and itd inform the play id do in the school yard in primary. so as a teen when i saw people talking about demon's souls n darksouls, then finally got darksouls myself to play. i was like, "the otogi dudes, nice"
@profeseurchemical Жыл бұрын
i then got stuck in the asylum (and thinking u were meant to die to the boss, confusing it with the demon's souls one) until i watched a stream of someone doing a pantless club lets play and then understood how to play the game right.

I have such rose tinted glasses playing dark souls 2 first I think. Just Majula and wondering what was down that hole and in that house and the pirate cove all absolutely knocked my socks off. DS1 brought similar feelings. So did ER. BB actually shook me to the core and replaced the wonder with a fantastic form of dread and intrigue. This is all to say that the way you guys discussed your differing opinions on the games makes me realize that there was absolutely no reason for me to argue about these games in the past, and it was kind of foolish to do so, I don’t know what games I’d like best if I played ds3, the objective worst modern FROM game, first. However chatGPT says lords of the fallen is the best souls game and I’ve got to say they’re definitely right on that.
@Lin_Eileen Жыл бұрын
I also have a really soft spot for Dark Souls 2. Everyone has their own Souls stories, for me I lost my pet right when I started playing that game. I picked up the SOTFS edition on PC just on a whim cause i enjoyed the first game and Demon's Souls... started it and then like 10 mins latedr my dog started breathing funny and was acting strange while staying in the bathtub (which is where he went to feel safe) i knew something was wrong so i rushed him to the vet and he had a twisted stomach inoperable he had to be put down 😥 i couldn't fuckoin believe it i just went home and cried & cried and played dark souls 2... it helped me cope

I still love DS2's characters and dialogues.
@flamingmanure Жыл бұрын
"the objective worst modern FROM game, first." whoever said that is objectively delusional. personally speaking i played bb before ds3 and i think ds3 is quite abit better than bb, better environment variety, bosses/enemies, combat and especially pvp, but the only objective fact in this conversation is that lords of the fallen is factually, objectively the greatest souls game no debate.

Hi Frank, just to let you know I didn’t delete any comments. Sometimes KZbin deletes comments on its own, I’m not sure why.
@SinclairLore Жыл бұрын
It’s actually possible KZbin auto deleted comments with profanity and stuff like that, it’s also possible someone reported and KZbin deleted it. But also sometimes comments just get removed and I can’t really tell you why, because I don’t know lol
