Honestly, I think Sin’s playfulness often gets the serious points she makes overlooked by her peers and followers; In the world of cinema, Takashi Miike is no laughing matter (although his movies certainly can be absurd). He is a true ‘Auteur’ and basically the Japanese answer to David Lynch. While his absurdism may even be a bit too much for most, he is probably one of the few directors who could juggle the philosophy and high-fantasy of Miyazaki’s visions in tandem. I’d LOVE to see a Miike directed Soulsborne film because I know it would truly be nothing like we’d expect. Miike has some brilliant, beautiful, fun, terrifying etc etc etc movies, everyone should check them out… (recommends - Audition, Dead Or Alive 1&2, The Bird People of China, Zebraman, Ichi The Killer, 13 Assassins, Blade of The Immortal, Happiness of The Katukuris, The Great Yokai War)

Internet Pitstop is fantastic you should check him out if you haven't. Big Crazy Lore Theory: Solaire was the Canonical First Successful Chosen Undead in DS2. He's meant to be the opposite of the Astoran noble that helps you in the beginning. The noble has fancy filigreed armor and enchanted weapons, the weirdly specific 'here's what you do' family motto, and you find astoran noble corpses all over early game areas, where Astoran commonors like Solaire and Andre seem to have actual hero juice in their veins, so it doesn't matter if they're wearing a loincloth and a broken straight sword, they're going where they want.

I've always said the eastern traveller looks like Ryan Reynolds. Also liwten to the DS1 character creation music, then immediately listen to the Resident Evil 4 save music. They are so similar it is crazy! Always wanted to add that Cyber City is my absolute favourite anime of all time.

Technically, they DID give a special item to manage maliketh, but the item they gave was too obtuse to use (the forbidden claw thing from bernarhl's invasion) The shackles were hilariously OP. Not just in binding the bosses, but it's a huge wide area of activation that you can use to reveal hidden passages and trigger the trap pillars in dungeons. The claw thing, on the other hand, was supposed to be used to parry like...two or three specific attacks at specific times. What those timings are are beyond me, though.

My theory is while Solaire isn’t the actual son of gwyn, Solaire sees gwyn as a sort of father figure. perhaps he was an orphan or his actual father died in a war, whatever the case Solarie turned to faith to fill that gab in his life and looked up to Gwyn as someone to aspire to. He went up Anor Londo looking for him but when he couldn’t find him, he went to lost Izalith where Gwyn fought the demons.

Beating Maliketh with heavy weapons= falling star beast jaw +10 (bring a few jugs of magic Kool Aid and spam special attack FTW). From what I remember, this method works fairly well on most bosses (including malarnia)

My first playthrough I did faith strength with super heavy weapons and I found using roll + R1, jump + R2, and then using different ashes of war that counter different move sets effectively. My most recent run I used the guts greatsword, didn’t level up past 50, and equipped quick dodge as my ash of war and had a blast! Found out the hard way you have less or no i frames in quick dodge when you run out of fp lol

I get Sophie's connection to the MCU because I know a surprising amount of lore from reading the info from the 90s RPG game. Barely read any comics and have seen 0 movies. But I do know that the fantastic 4 have shitty stats except for Human Torch who has like Unearthly fire attacks and the Thing has monstrous strength.

huh shortcuts are so boring in Elden Ring because it's just elevators and doors, it was much better back then when it was elevators and doors. wat. I think the moral of the story is that those epic moments only really mean anything once. By which I mean once overall.
