why are they safer than a normal reverse roll?

because they cant be punished by backpedalling. also you wont get stuck infront of the other guy when you revroll too much in his face

I tried the inputs for reverse roll( Down, R3+O), it didn't work. I just keep rolling backwards.

Finally..I know how to do b. forw. roll.... thanx man!.. p.s. Suggestions? I care about toggle.... it would be nice to see relatively simple pivots vs zwei/ wotg...and hard ones (for me) claymore / combustion.....

.also I never heard about video where it would be mentioned as I call it "auto-toggle" (pressing buttn. while Im in attack animation/ spamming at.k or rolls. and it works without precise timing... .thanx again.. bye.
