This is another one of my favorite tutorial videos! Can't wait to get on this one. Also, I want to say thanks for not using an airbrush. Many of the other painting tutorials use them and it's just not that useful to me. Enjoying the videos, the model looks great.

Thank you for the comment and the compliment! Everyone loves this one, it is actually my most watch video. I loved painting this, minus the hard to reach armor plating spots. I do wish she had a second weapon on the model and the feet were not so odd (seen a custom repose of her). I am not a fan of air brushing, I like the feeling of actually painting a model. I now it would be a huge time saver on some models but they also need a lot of upkeep and you have to either buy whole new paint or water part of your existing ones down just right. Not to mention needing to set up an air compressor, I have a hard enough time lately bring myself to paint. Again thank you for the compliment :)

I know its been a while. and love the paint job by the way. Some suggestions for the future. If you list the paints used in the description. Its nice to have the paints ready when following a video like yours.

Thank you for the comment! It take time and honestly a lot of trial and error, dont be afraid to make mistakes yoy can always paint over them. I also spent a lot of time planning out the colors for this model. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

I plan to do the same as yours, coul you do a list for of the colour for a total beginner ?
@grimreapergames5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the comment! Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you, it took me a while to even sort of remember which colors I used. I primarily use P3 paints (privateer press') but I also use some of Game Workshop's as well. These paints (listed ahead) are all P3 unless stated otherwise. Now assuming I am recalling correctly I used (listed in the order they appear in the video): -Exile Blue for the base cloth -Cold Steel for the base coat brighter metals -Pig Iron for the darker metals -Frostbite for the shawls base coat -Quick Silver for the base coat of the sword -Tharimite Black for well the black (either brand works fine) -Codex Grey (gw) for the facing lines -I cant recall what I used to highlight the part of the shawl that is over black, likely also Codex Grey possibly something brighter -I used Cold Steel again for highlighting the darker metals -I used Quick Silver again for highlighting the brighter metals -Lothern Blue (GW) to highlight the blue cloth -Codex Grey again to highlight the black cloth -Marrow White for the shawl highlights -Khador Red Base for the first flame layer -Ember Orange for the second flame layer -Flash Gitz Yellow (GW) for the third flame layer (As a note GW sometimes changes the names of their paint) I hope this is helpful and dont be afraid to do your own thing with it. Good luck :)

Amazing work! Can I buy this from you?
@grimreapergames4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the comment and compliment! While I am not against selling my models normally this model is part of a collection of other models (all the ones from the core game) which I also have painted all of, so selling just one would not be a good idea. However if you would like to commission a copy of the core game to be painted, or even just this model from a new copy of the game, or anything like that, I am more then open to doing so. Do keep in mind while I am open to doing commission work I have yet to do so and would still need to work somethings out. With all of that said I do take the fact that you want to buy it as a great compliment and thank you very much for that fact.

Thank you for the comment! I primarily use P3 (Privateer Press Paints). I also use GW and army painter went the color I am looking for is out or non existent.

You did this all through dry brushing? Was the highlight a dry brush too? I really like the speckled effect would like to know how you got it.
@grimreapergames6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the comment! Yup all dry brushing, except the base silver coat for the sword. This is how I paint models when I want them to look darker. Which speckle effect did you mean?
@TGAmir16 жыл бұрын
I rewatched the vid and can't believe it's all dry brushing. On her cape then white on blue make it look textured or space like rather then one smooth colour. The ghost look as you say. Thanks for replies and the vid I'm super excited to paint this model now!
@grimreapergames6 жыл бұрын
The cape I wanted to have a set of colors that made it give the feel of it being translucent, like it is in the video game. All I did was start with a light application of a pale blue (an icy blue), followed by a basic white with greater applications on the folds of the cloth. It is wonderful to hear that my video is making you more excited to paint your own model. I hope you have fun doing so and it turns out well :)
@LycheeMelona4 жыл бұрын
You can get that effect by using a spray base coat, and standing a little further back, so it starts to dry just before hitting it. I get it on accident sometimes, especially if im outside on a hotter day than usual.
