I for one am happy that you didn't just kill Gwyn and ended the series. To me this series is more about experiencing as much hilarity and chaos as possible than it is about actually beating the game, so just skipping all the Lords and the DLC would have been disappointing because it would be that much less chaos that we get to experience.

It's not even really 8-bit. It's the Animal Village song from the Link's Awakening remake. The original was in 8-bit, but they redid all the music for the remake and decided that random dog and cat noises were just right for the Animal Village for some awful reason.

I had several thoughts as Luke tried to decide whether to take the easy route head to the final boss. 1. I appreciate how every episode of this play through has what can only be described as a moment of existential dread at whatever is happening. 2. A mental image of the Life is Strange “a choice has been made” loading animation appearing as Luke decides to hack Dark Souls. And last but not least 3. My own sympathetic horror as the consequences of Luke’s actions appear in the form of 3 of the worst enemies in the game.

29:00 that mood though. There’s another letsplayer I watch who does his recordings on stream and can get feedback from the audience. Then he edits it into these more structured videos. I’m not saying you should do that, it just always makes me think about that very situation you speak of when I watch other letsplayers. How much work they put in (and him as well, because usually he’s talking to wider audience) to be engaging in that one-sided way, and keep the capture going in the face of setbacks.

Frampt got mad at you for just jumping down the hole, rather than him taking you. Only way to wake him was to reset the area or hit him, so he got mad over you for not stabbing him with a cattle prod.

I think it's a little more complicated than even that. I think if Luke had just used the Lordvessel to get out like the first time he wouldn't have upset him. But the accidental warp back down followed by using a Homeward Bone to escape seems to have been the 'final straw'.

Honestly, Luke accidentally performing a wrongwarp to such a specifically decisive location is incredibly funny and a brilliant end to such a backwards randomiser, but I can fully understand why he got out of there. We still have New Londo, the Duke's Archives, Lost Izalith (possibly the funniest one due to the dragon butts), The Catacombs, Tomb Of The Giants, Royal Woods, Oolacile and the Chasm Of The Abyss to see, and plenty of bosses left to fight. I just pray that this rando is truly and properly able to be completed...

Several months late but I want to say I’m really enjoying watching this playthrough and I’m glad you didn’t take the easy way out and finish it prematurely when you could have.
