Yeah, I was honestly relieved. It's one of those fights that if I don't get it right first time I'm bound to fail multiple times after. Usually because the skeletons start randomly strolling towards you with Nito right behind. Not cool.

I've not played Demons' Souls so I can't really comment but the thing that struck me about the DS II info we've had recently was the reference to Giants crossing the sea. Obviously that could be a call-out to the Tomb of the Giants but it could also be referring to Ash Lake and the huge skulls lying out there on the beach. It'll be very interesting to see what pieces of lore From will try to link together.

The events in Demons' Souls took place thousands of years before the events of Dark Souls, if you think about it the strongest dps weapon in-game was Northern Regalia (a greatsword) and no one knows about Artorias the knight in the DS lore so one theory is that YOU TOOK THE GOOD ENDING in Demons' Souls and became Artorias, Gwyn's Knight. One other thing Manus is confirmed to be the Firtive Pigmy for those who dont know :)

It usually does but if you mash both triggers (L1/R1) you can escape! Works with a load of other grab attacks in the game like the Centipede Demon, Mimics and Chaos Eaters.

If you start spamming the R1/L1 bumpers your character can drastically reduce or completely nullify grab attack damage. Works on a number of grab attacks like the Mimics, Chaos Eaters, Centipede Demon etc. : )

I've been doing these challenge runs for quite some time now! It's just about picking up on and mastering all the little things you learn from each playthrough. The only way I was able to beat Gwyn on my first playthrough was turtling behind the Greatshield of Artorias in full Havel's, poking at him with my lightning spear. If I can do this having started off playing like that I'm sure you can do it too!

Well from ENB's latest on his experience with the beta it seems that they're not averse to throwing in cheeky references to characters from Demons' Souls so I suspect they'll probably take some liberties with Dark Souls characters too! Especially as more and more of the evidence seems to point towards the story taking place before the events of Dark Souls even if they're not directly related story-lines.

did you know the chaos eaters acid spray attack is super deadly my jeremiah character had fully upgraded gear and had like 700 hp left got hit by it once broke everything and died it was really crazy

what do you think of the reinforced club its my fav weapon now with my fav build character who has max strength im testing all the major str weapons great club large club the club reinforced club great axe golems axe caestus db fist Lucerne warpick smoughs hammer dragon tooth and someothers im also gonna be using cmw and pw and my build rips through the game killed gwyn with 2 ripostes so glad I didn't use them first playthough other wise I would've been op I mean I was strong but not that much.

Actually no,you can deal a lot more high damage with a plus+15 katana and some dex and faith,and you could even add Power whitin+Red Tearstone to maximize the damage

did you know if you don't wanna buy logans crap before dukes archive wait to rescue him until you've been there and visited the first bonfire then rescue him and he immediately goes to the archives also please do a crossbow only character for your next run the sniper crossbow in my opinion is the best ranged weapon high damage fun and easy to use and you can get it pretty early and fast

in my fist character when I fought the crystalline knight he parried me and I had 1 hp but then I did it to him and he had 1 then I took a risk and used my left jab and killed him also two days ago with the same character I was fighting kirk in demon ruins and he killed me I was dumb and used strong attack non stop I haven't died to him for like 2 years since before patch 1.4 ._.
