Will try and bear that in mind for future fights! I just find that by landing parries in succession it helps me get into a rhythm. Now I've improved my damage a little I'll feel a bit more comfortable in mixing things up since I can end fights faster. Glad you're enjoying!

Having that extra ring slot makes a big difference - by only having one it really forces you to make some difficult decisions. And for the Four Kings fight you have to go in with both your ring slots used up because of the Covenant of Artorias. So that's going to make that fight really interesting.

Honestly, I'm not that great at pvp! It's a whole different game, and I have immense respect for anyone that does well consistently online. It just requires a completely different mentality, particularly with regard to parries where you basically have to predict certain attacks.

No, I've never really considered Catalysts or Talismans to be weapons since they simply allow you to facilitate the use of spells/miracles. I'll make sure to update the rules to clarify the issue.

Only by in-game NPC's since I've been playing offline for most of it. The main reason is that I hate having some footage spoiled by people signing in on Xbox Live. I'll definitely do challenges online, particularly for Dark Souls II, but I wanted this playthrough to be uninterrupted!

For some reason Hidden Body works a lot better than Ring of Fog after they patched it - but if you're not using Intelligence it's a perfectly viable alternative.

Hawkeye Gough is going to be a lot of fun. I've never fought him in any of my playthroughs, but I've seen some footage and it looks terrifying! I'm considering the Smith Hammers. Both Vamos' and the Giant's Hammers have different elemental properties so they'd cover a lot of ground between them. We'll see.

You can't get to the "past" w/o meeting dusk in the "present" if you mean afterwards, then yeah, She did in my playthrough when i went back afterwards.
