The music on the carousal was a pleasant surprise. Was not expecting that number. And you seemed to be reliving your childhood joy there. What a great event. Our local steam trains are not next to out merry-go-round but are close enough to do both in a half an hour.

Great video, and +1 for the comments about showmans engines generating. I spent my childhood on rally fields (thanks Dad!) and the memories of standing at Kegworth Carnival on a Saturday night, listening to an 89 Key Gavioli fair organ whilst leaning against the rocking front wheel of a showmans engine generating the leccy..... priceless memories. This glorious event was replicated at steam rallies across every summer weekend for me, and had the distinct advantage of being located outside the beer tent, which as I progressed into my teens proved to be a fertile educational establishment...

You should see if you can do a Laurie drives on the road engine they had generating the power. It's gorgeous, and I'd love to see it moving around in the daylight. So much shiny brasswork, and little bits of detailing, all while being wonderfully industrial as only a steam engine can.

The weekend before last I went to watch the Severn Valley Railway Steam In Lights service and I do agree with you steam and lights do make everything more atmospheric. This event at Bressingham looks really impressive and has plenty to see and do.

It's a great day to be 11! The showman's engine with electric *was* the Shuttle-Hubble-Starlink-Jaguar of the day. Cutting edge technological magic. You said 'a lot' of lights were stolen. Somebody has to get rid of them. Watch the 'not too local' for sale ads. Alert pawn shops.

Many fond memories of Bressingham growing up also, was a great joy to take my own son there too :) Had no idea that Rosenkavalier had a sibling on the RH&DR! Considering the many times I have walked around her static display it's nice to know that I have ridden behind another member of her Class :)

@nicholasdark12702 жыл бұрын
@@lmm that's not true at all make as much money as you like, but at the same time think about the viewers that have bought you this far. 1. Relevant sponsors, not random fads 2. Do you really need sponsors and KZbin ads? 3. Think about Patreon, personally I'd rather pay £1 per episode than watch adverts. 4. Consider other platforms such as Curiosity Stream along side KZbin as an alternative revenue stream especially for long form content or content that doesn't fit KZbin 5. Run KZbin polls to see the type of sponsorship your viewers would like to see. Not only would you keep your viewers happy, but it gives you more ammunition to charge sponsors more.
@QALibrary2 жыл бұрын
@@nicholasdark1270 to answer a few of your questions: 2: do you have a clue how low KZbin advertising pay? Plus add in all the people using Adblockers, in some cases that can be 90% of views… I am betting the channel will only make $50 from this video. 3: they do have a patron or did have which only about 1% at best sign up for which will bring in very little money 4: people do not watch other services- been there done that and the service you quoted… it is a invitation only service ie the company running is only allowing certain channels onto the service so when LMM hits a million+ subscribers they might get an invite
@nicholasdark12702 жыл бұрын
@@QALibrary 2. Yes, hence suggesting that they drop the KZbin advertising, in favour decent sponsors. That would also get around the Adblocker issues. 3. If they have a patreon then advertise that more often, perhaps part of the reason for no one signing up is that no one knows about it. 4. Fine, keep it as a long term goal. It was simply another suggestion for consideration, not a list of 5 demands.
