These are both great fun and I enjoyed both of them, They are still B movies with cheesy plots and small budgets but they came out great. The cast a familiar faces who give good performances. Dark Storm - This standard 'government experiment gone wrong' plot is given an interesting twist by the addition of superhero origin story, sort of. When a government experiment using dark mater to disintegrate a target from space goes wrong (see I told you) infusing our hero Dr Gray with dark mater and unleashing destructive dark mater tornadoes. Dr Gray and his best friend and fellow scientist Andy must race against time to recover the stolen tech before the world is destroyed. Baldwins softly spoken and controlled performance grants his Dr Gray a level of gravitas it could of easily not had. While Rob LaBelle's slightly more exuberant performance as Andy works as a perfect counter point. As I said this movie has cast of familiar faces Stephen Baldwin probably most famous for 'The Usual Suspect', Rob LaBelle has appeared in everything from 'The Watchmen' to 'The X-files' and of course fellow X-files alum William B. Davis the 'Cigarette smoking man' himself. Keegan Connor Tracy from 'Once Upon a Time' appears in a supporting role. The SFX are pretty good with only on really janky CGI helicopter blotting the copy book. If you are looking for a fun b grade scifi Disaster movie with a twist give it a try Earth Storm - When the moon is struck by massive asteroid it becomes a desperate race to prevent the moon cracking in half and destroying earth and there is only one man for the job demolitions expert John Redding he must some how seal the crack and save the world. If this plot sounds a lot like Armageddon your right but this was made on less than was spent on the catering for that movie. plus they manage to sneak in a bit of Apollo 13. I don't want it to seem I'm ragging on this movie I'm not the movie chugs along at a good pace. The writing is good with only a couple lets not mention that moments that you'd expect from a low budget disaster movie and the acting is top notch. The SFX are obviously hampered by budget constrains but they get the best they can out of the time and money they had. As with Dark Storm there are a lot of familiar faces Stephen Baldwin of course as our hero. The beautiful Anna Silk as John Redding's offsider probably best known for Lost Girl (I still have a crush on her). Dirk Benedict of A-Team and Battellstar Galactica fame as Victor, I wish he appeared in more stuff he's not lost any of his charisma. Amy Price-Francis from King and the Purge - Anarchy. Even the supporting roles have some familiar faces like Conrad Coates from The Expanse and Jason Blicker who's been in everything from NYPD Blues to The Umbrella Academy. Both these movies are a ton of fun and if you enjoy a bit of B grade disaster movie you'll have a blast I did

i just love in these types of movies how the characters ALWAYS SEEM TO BELIEVE THAT THEY HAVE A CHOICE. the world is going to end. no one apparently wants to die... yet the powers that be never want to listen to reason, and the hero is ALWAYS reluctant to be the hero HE MUST BE in order to do what him and everybody else wants... WHICH IS TO STAY ALIVE.

I like Steven Baldwin in every kind of movie in this genre. So much better actor than his over-rated brother, Alec Baldwin whose stories are not nearly as interesting or well written. Steven sticks to the overall theme without the other accoutrements of love/women/romance.etc. That's what adventure movies should be about. Save the romantic themes for later.!!!!We are looking for adventure!!!!!!

1st movie: i think i knew that general from some zombie tv series. He remembers me to be a good one at the end. 2nd movie: the guy from the president looks like an older version of Face from the A-Team.

These were great especially Dark Storm. Didn't expect to enjoy them. Thanks for uploading. Of course, not knowing any of the scientific stuff made it sound all the more plausible to me and I wasn't picking holes in either of them.. But I thought that dark matter is invisible?? Isn't it?

I looked it up, and the moon's core is iron, so the writers got it right. By the way, the guy playing Victor in this movie, also played in the TV series, "The A-Team."

I have to say that Earthstorm was not bad at all. I do love the disaster/end of the world genre movies, but ugh, I just can't stand it when they are completely full of suspense ... like when every new scene has a lot of unnecessary suspense ... like a main character getting some kind set-back every 5 minutes and I also can't stand it when it feels like half the movie consists of the characters constantly being in highly stressful situations where they have to think and move fast, like running from a tsunami or out of a metorites way or away from a crumbling fault line that threatens to swallow them up .... yet all they seem to do is turn around and look back at the danger unfolding and stare at the bloody thing for a few minutes all dramatically when they should be getting the hell out of there! I know it's movies, but those over the top bits really annoy the crap out of me. But thankfully Earthstorm was pretty free of those things ... it has it's moments but they are used far more appropriately
