I love the Deviant Moon book. It was a lot larger than I thought. It is so gorgeous and a perfect companion. Most expensive guide book I have, but worth it. Someone not into tarot would appreciate it for the artistic points-of-view. Love all your decks.

This shadow work on self is it good to do before one can help others in healing. It just seems like I might not want to do this healing work in tarot. I like reading cards. Hello there! Shadow work is such a personal process and difficult too. It’s hard to see the not so great things about yourself or painful memories that still affect you today. Using tarot for this process can be helpful, but of course there is more than just one way to skin a cat. hi raven onthehill, you can read the trionfi della luna with reversals if you look at the shadows on the wands: the dark shadows are on the left side of the wands if the card is upright, and when it's reversed they are of course on the right (and the left side is light). check it out! greetings!

Yes I would. There are a few reasons: I love the card stock, the images are thoughtful, the “little white book” has a lot of depth to it despite its small size, there is a key poem or phrase on the cards themselves, and most of all, the readings I’ve gotten have been on point. So if I lost this deck, I would rebuy it lol!

Many people share their choices of which decks to use to do shadow work, but no one mentions how to DO shadow work. Any help would be appreciated.

Oh sure. Well, I can share how I do it. I usually pick a small spread specific for shadow work, around 3-5 cards. Too many makes it too complicate as the message can become overwhelming. So smaller chunks is better for me. I read the cards with their associated position in the reversed aspect. For example, the 4 of coins would mean that I’m consumed with hoarding cash or I can’t hold on to cash at all and it’s causing a problem. Then I would reflect on my situation, card placement, and meaning of the card to better understand issues I need to deal with…. But I’m sure there are several ways of doing it. Hope that helps

Well you can use any tarot deck for shadow work. What constitutes a dark deck is subjective and usually based on imagery and meaning for the cards. Usually the images are uncomfortable to confront darker aspects of yourself…. I think most decks fall into the gray to dark category like the ones I have…. But hey, that’s just my take on it.

I had that deck at one point and passed it on. I loved the images, but the cards were too thick for me to shuffle so I never used it. It is a good one too. It was actually a pretty funny deck.
