Of course it won't look very cyber to the average person, cause we can't afford neurolink, but the dystopia is pretty much here. Then, I would suggest also to make your own deadlines, maybe 6 months to write a first draft. If something comes along the way, as far as it does not change the plot, you can adapt it; but if it changes radically the original plot, maybe you can save that idea for the next novel. If you are thinking to make a series of books, then this is quite useful to explode those other ideas. But, the most important is that you should try to start writing, regardless of all the new ideas that come. That is the only way in which you will advance and in the middle, or when you review your draft, then you can rewrite and correct in case you want to add more ideas. Good luck and all the best.
