Mikael is one of the best vocalists in metal with one of the most distinctive growls. Had he stayed with In Flames, the band probably wouldn't have turned into garbage, but then attention would have been diverted from Dark Tranquillity. Ah, the trade-offs in life...

In Flames would be good if Stanne was a permanent member and Jesper never left, Anders and Bjorn is the mind behind IF turned into pop core, Niklas Sundin from Dark Tranquillity is way better compositor than Bjorn, and still make epic albums til this day, Stanne is in the right place after all

One of the most genuinely humble and nicest musicians I have ever met!! Caught them in a TINY venue with a criminally small crowd and had the opportunity to meet the band before the show. Im sure there was disappointment from the crowd size but the band never showed it IMHO.

finally, somebody else that didn't care for the Human album. i was so into Death back then, that the Human release was a huge letdown for me. i did like 3 songs, but the rest were pretty much trash to me. i'll never "get" why a low point in their career is universally considered their high point. sure the drums were great, and there were some good bass lines, but good drumming can't turn bad songs into good songs (just look at Meshuggah).
