I love the dialogue from Astarion you get with option 1. If you go to the stormshore tabernacle and pray to Bhaal you get a response that he stops your heart and restarts it with “the lash of duty”. Fantastic parallel

You know, with that opening line about noting you haven't slept through the night, more specifically that he has not observed you sleeping through the night, is a wee bit squee inducing because it implies he's watching out for you. Granted, it may be because he knows you're urges are gunning for him and its for self preservation but Imma just pretend its selfless.

I mean--I didnt romance him my first playthrough and he wasn't chosen as my favorite person, but he still noticed my terrible sleeping habits. It's interesting that he is the only companion to notice and comment (irregardless of the Urge's target).

@@HeadDetectiveLassie Let me have this lol. No but for real, Astarion is already treading unfamiliar ground given that he's now a spawn able to be in the sun. And you know, the last stranger he accepted help from didn't have the best motives. It does make sense he would be watching you.

@@TyrannicalChicken Nah... I was supporting your statement. He watches out for you even if you aren't gunning for him, and it's sweet. He sounds so concerned. I was touched that, after hearing everyone else's default greetings, he just breaks the cycle and checks in on you because he sees you're suffering. He might be the only one (besides my new camp mom, Jaheira).

If Durge tries to kill him in Act 2, he has a line saying that he's worried about himself, but he seems to be worried about you more. He sounds surprised himself about it lol. Maybe if you don't romance him he's worried about himself more, but if romanced he certainly is primarily watching out for you. 😊

He’s the better version of Edward Cullen 😂😂😂 Someone who’s a floofy teddy bear instead of a creep
