I am not on board with him manipulating the witches, Death is literally out of the frame. He named Nicholas Scratch, and Death would definitely have the power to summon him, and all of Nicholas' powers are things like mind control, time control, all kinds of manipulation arts, what makes him so powerful.

Witch lesson #1 - do not piss off the already pissed off super-powered teenager who can manipulate reality at will. (especially when he's very, VERY pissed off) I suspect next episode will be a look back at Teen's "creation", his freeing of Agatha from the hex, and how much Rio was involved. I suspect Rio and Billy (K or M?) know each other QUITE well. Also... ever wonder who Agatha's father is? I mean... sucking life and power out of people is a very... demonic thing to do. I wonder if Evanora made some "deals" of her own

That thought has crossed our mind about the who it could be cause it’s very powerful and it being demonic our mind keeps on circling back to Mephisto having something to do with this. This ending confirms Teen is Billy Kaplin aka Wiccan. He is the reincarnated Billy Maximoff. How this version of Billy came to be we don't know yet. Did he put the sigil on himself to protect him from Agatha or did something else do it? I think Alice's death triggered something in Billy. She was the only one in the "coven" that even tried to bond with him. I also think that the sigil wasn't just to protect his identity, but is also a way to control him. Can't wait til the net episode!

I like that the final scene shows how smart and non emotionally driven Billy is. Hes pissed about Alice and a less calculating person would have just straight attacked her and thrown her in the mud himself, like he does with the other two after. Its not like Agatha would have seen it coming, as she doesnt know he can use his powers like that. But he knows if he did she would have instinctively started absorbing his powers. So he used his magic on the other two and had the physically drag her into the mud before using his magic to throw them into the mud. Kinda reminds me of the final battle in Stardust.

14:51 Using Billie Eilish for Teen's reveal was awesome. However, this only really works for people who know who the artist is and who Teen could be. Teen is Billy Maximoff though he might be under the name Billy Kaplan--It's likely the former given the sigil put on him. More importantly, I don't think Teen is himself. His anger opened him up to possession. At this moment, what he and Evanora are are in alignment; they want Agatha punished! Evanora is bound to this realm, not the house. I think she took Billy and used him as her agent. She got him to get rid of Agatha and the witches who had protected Agatha during her first attack. The difference between witchcraft and sorcery in the MCU is that witchcraft is hereditary and sorcery is learned. Agatha, Alice, Lilia, Jennifer, and Billy can all use Magik (Marvel's spelling) because they all descend from lines of witches. While we haven't been told this yet, I think we're going to learn by the time this series ends that Mrs. Heart/Davis also has witches' blood flowing through her veins too. She has to be "witchy enough," right? I mean, that was a prerequisite to opening the path to the Witches' Road after all. Mrs. Heart/Davis likely doesn't know her family's past, but that doesn't really matter. The path opened because "witchy enough" people performed the ritual for it to work. What's the point of the Witches' Road and its trials? The answer is likely found in the past and present. Witches were thriving until the Salem Witch trials, which coincidentally, took place during the same year Agatha's old coven tried killing her, in 1693! Angry men with pitchforks, fire, tar, and feathers hunted women they believed to be witches down. Based on what we've seen here, witches abandoned their coven, lost their coven, and hid in plain sight, living lives that were mere shadows of the ones they used to live. What happened to those witch survivors? Some were found out and hunted down, and had their Magik taken from them. Others were cursed and lived the rest of their lives running from that curse until it finally caught up with them and took their lives. Others lost their connection to their Magik because they let it fade away over time. Witches stopped thriving because they lost faith in one another. When people came for them, they were overwhelmed and defeated; they were wiped out. The Witches' Road is designed to bring witches together and to form a coven, and its trials are designed to make those witches trust their fellow witches. Each trial is designed to be performed by a specific witch, so no one person can do it alone. For more than 300 years, witches have been working on their own to no avail. The Witches' Road is designed to bring them back. The power all these witches seek is the power of a coven! They need to be together to be their strongest, but for that to happen they all need to trust one another first. When they reach the end, I think they'll learn that they have the power to undo the things that happened in this magical realm. The Witches Road is a coven maker, not a coven taker. So long as the witches on the road finish the trial, they will be made whole. Should they choose to be selfish and go their own way, however, well, they don't deserve to be a witch. That type of person will likely be trapped in this realm until the end of time, becoming a ghoul like Evanor Harkness. Why is Evanor Harkness the way she is? Why does she say that Agatha was born evil and that she should have killed her the moment she left her body? I suspect it is because MCU Agatha is a mutant and a witch, like Wanda Maximoff! There are two kinds of mutants: those who can control their powers (Xavier, Wolverine, Storm, Iceman...) and those who cannot (Cyclops, Angel, Beast, Nightcrawler...). I think Agatha falls into the latter category. Her ability to take power is a defense mechanism that she was never taught how to control. Did Evanora have a magically assisted birth? Probably, and baby Agatha likely killed the midwife who helped with the delivery. Mutants were virtually unheard of back then, so I can see why Evanora feared her daughter. The fact that witches were being hunted didn't help. Agatha was inadvertently helping those hunting her sisterhood of witches. Despite what we saw in WandaVision and what Evanora has told us, Agatha wasn't always evil. Everyone around her gave her that label, and that label created a rumor that protected her for nearly 400 years. Agatha spared the children because she didn't mean to kill their mothers. Agatha told us why she spared Jennifer in the third episode--Jen was doing "good work," helping people with her midwifery. Why did Agatha give up her child, Nicholas Scratch? Witchcraft is hereditary remember? Agatha's power would always put her child in danger! Did she give up her son to protect him from her? Did she make the trade for the Darkhold because of its infinite knowledge of Dark Magik? Agatha had a big problem that put her family at risk, and if anything could save her family from her, that book would have had the answer. Fast forward to WandaVision, and enter Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch, the very person Agatha needed to cure herself! Wanda's ability to warp reality, and make reality what she wants it to be is what Agatha needed to be with her son, to be "normal." Episode three made me (many others too, I assume) think Mephisto would be the Big Bad of this series, but I no longer think that that's the case. The Bad Bad is Agatha's old coven! Will this end with Agatha's new coven sending them to the Evanora and the Salem Seven to the great beyond or will it end amicably? Evanora and her flock need to know that what Agatha did wasn't always intentional. Her mother telling her that she was evil (treating her like she evil) didn't help! I can't wait for the next episode, as it is Rio's turn! The earth has claimed her coven and the only thing that can save them now, is a green witch! Nature is her domain. Why did Rio laugh here, 8:20? Probably because SHE is Death! Her being "the green witch" makes sense when you consider that we (Western culture) bury their dead; Rio's shtick is collecting bodies! What sort of trial could the Witches' Road demand from death? To release souls probably? Rio has been on edge since Agatha came out of Wanda's trance. The one person who had consistently delivered her bodies was out of commission for three years. Rio needs her dopamine hit, and the road has just given her two bodies. Could Rio possibly have to be willing to give them back? In any case, this week's episode should be a lot of fun. I cannot wait.

It’s wild after finishing the episode and reading all your knowledge posted here that none of everything what we thought ended up playing out. That it was Agatha & Nicholas making up the road to suck power from other witches so she can get stronger & that Wiccan created “the road”

@@SmittyBirdie Who would have thought that the ballad was BS? That was something not many of us ever considered but some certainly did. It seemed too outlandish to accept those theories at the time given how the other witches knew of the Witches' Road and how the trials actually connected to everyone's past with such detail. Billy must have subconsciously read all of their minds and made up the trial as they went--not made at it. This series ended with a curve ball I did not see coming. What a series. I loved the finale =)

We did see the crown, we aren’t blind. As for knowing the blue magic is associated with Wiccan we know a decent amount when it comes to Marvel lore but knew nothing about Wiccan’s specific lore. Which we did research upon finishing the episode. Doesn’t help we didn’t have to time to do a refresher watch of WandaVision before watching this series since it’s been years in between the releases.
