@@Mobysimo If I remember correctly, Screwball always gets away with what she does because she never technically commits any crimes herself (in theory, because I’m pretty sure there is some real life law she’s breaking). She knows there are loopholes to the system and she’s willing to exploit them if it means she gets likes. She also wears a mask, which means she can’t be identified. And because she most likely brings a lot of money, whatever social media she uses isn’t willing to ban her. Lawless gets away with it because she’s meant to be a good guy, I guess. It reminds me of that Robyn Hood series that broke the internet a while ago, where the main character was so stupid she basically doxxed herself in social media and yet the police was never able to find her.

I've only really played two multiplayer games: Yugioh Master Duel and The Outlast Trials. The former does have some issues with meta decks but is a grear adaptation of the card game, and The Outlast Trials actually has some interesting mechanics and can be pretty scary at times. Why do I bring this up? Because both of them are VASTLY superior to the complete catastrophe that is Kill the Justice League.

BTW Jadow, not sure if you've heard this rumored leak or not, but apparently the Deathstroke season will reveal that he managed to kill 2 Brainiacs offscreen before you recruit him. So that, combined with the 2 you'll kill in each episode, and your total of dead Brainiacs comes down to 11, leaving the final two for the fifth season. So that's how Rocksteady plan to wrap up their Brainiac storyline by Season 5... by literally speedrunning through it. I can't tell what's more surprising. The fact that this Brainiac is such a wuss he gets killed by ONE nonpowered guy TWICE, or that Rocksteady are admitting they're throwing in the towel by not even having you fight all of the remaining bosses they built all the expansions around.

You know... Looking at Lawless, makes me appreciate female characters like Paula Cassidy from Super Lesbian Animal RPG and Mothiva from Bug Fables even more... Mainly because Paula Cassidy and Mothiva are better characters with a better motivation (Paula joins Javis and Verena because she hates magic, Mothiva wants to hijack Kabbu, Vi and Leif's mission because she cares about glory and fame), their fights are hard yet rewarding (Paula has an ability/attack that causes Melody, Allison, Claire and Jodie to take damage if they cast spell, as well as an attack that leaves a character to one HP; Mothiva has her partner Zasp along her, and will revive him if he's defeated, but if she's hit and Zasp is not defeated, he gets buffed), you fight them twice (thought, Paula's second fight has her empowered by magic, but it's a scripted event where she then faints from the excessive amount of mana she got), and they're not obnoxious and annoying. So yeah, that's quite telling.

Also, between Lawless in KTJL and Screwball in Spider-Man, can we PLEASE stop having characters be bloggers/streamers or basically revolve around the Internet in general? It's always so try-hard and comes across as obnoxious and annoying every time they do it. I think the Riddler from The Batman 2023 is the only instance where that worked because it was just one scene and the point was to show how dangerous influential people like this can be. BTW I think it's safe to say at this point that you've gotten more revenue from this game than Rocksteady and Warner Bros. Discovery have combined.

Damn, guys, I know the game is badm but I didn't expect the writers to forget that the literal first half of the base game was the team trying to find a way to break from Waller's control. You know, the whole thing where they sneak to LexCorp to get the bombs removed because the bombs will kill them if they step one pinky outside of the mission area? And that Brainiac was attacking the entire world and multiverse; it's not like the squad can just take a trip to the bahamas and pretend the invasion isn't happening.

2 things you missed: 1. They do the “deadbeat dad who’s never there” shtick with Deadshot. Every version of Floyd and Zoey has a good relationship. The REAL Arkham Deadshot (this SSKTJL guy is the imposter, fuck you Rocksteady) was a supportive loving father. EVEN Will Smith’s Deadshot, who this imposter was clearly cashing in on (cashing in on a movie everyone hated), was a supportive father. SO WHAT THE FLYING FUCK! 2. Between the obnoxious & punchable Lawless and the whiny pantywaist Arkham Knight, I think it’s safe to say Rocksteady can’t make “totally original characters” worth a damn.

People have been bringing up the Arkham Knight, but I never took him as an attempt at an original character. I took him as a laughable attempt to do Under the Red Hood while disguising the obvious reveal... and then making it obvious anyway.

I just saw the Animated movie of "Under the Red Hood," haven't played any of the Arkham Games apart from the first one, and I guessed who the "Arkham Knight" was a couple of minutes into Jadow's review. I feel at this point, there's nothing to be said for the game. I'm watching the updates curious to see how they'll salvage the Arkham continuity, but beyond that... the game is a living hell made manifest. It's boring for you and the devs are probably miserable because they are forced to finish it. But whereas I pity you for your misery, I have none for the developers. This game was made on a foundation of hubris. Now the slow awful grind is soul crushing... and the fact that they can't afford to course correct means that even though they probably know nobody will like their cringy shit, they have no choice but to commit. And the biggest irony? If the episodes were planned so far in advanced, it's entirely possible that Kevin Conroy did recordings for his episode... which would retroactively make Suicide Squad his last appearance release wise. where as the crisis movie was his last appearance production wise. This is a black mark that just gets worse and worse for the game and rocksteady.

I feel like what shows how bad Lawless is as a character is that in the 2000s (before stuff like woke and Sweet Baby Inc were in anyone's head), we had characters like Vivian from Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door and Florina from The Blazing Blade. Two characters that are pretty much exactly what you want from a well written character with their specific traits adding to their likability.
