When i learn how to rotate an object without extruding all the planes and screwing it right up, I'm gunna be a lot better than i am at the moment, I really want to make castle, and some swords, I don't think i would ever be good enough, nor have the patients to do something like this! Incredible work bro!!!

Sorry for the very late response guys. I really appreciated ur guys comment and critics. Please dont rely on this video if you guys just started to learn how to sculpt. Some of the technique that I used in this video was inspired by the Zbrush software. The tools that I used in this video is so helpful to speed-up the process. The rest is just my understanding of the anatomy for the face which is I'm still learning too :) I probably gonna make another video from a very beginning on how I usually sculpt inside Blender when I have a chance :)

This was a pretty cool timelaspe. It would be very helpful for newcomers to see what keys are being pressed while your doing it.. Maybe in the future.?
@vanezcha8 жыл бұрын
But, newcomers watch tutorial. Not a timelapse :)
@zacharysluder70668 жыл бұрын
lol true, but it would be sweet to see how they did it. It can be hard to find new tools if you dont know what to look for. Hince, why i watch timelapse
@vanezcha8 жыл бұрын
+Zachary Sluder i think that the purpose of the uploader to make this timelapse video is for his portfolio collection. and because the vid is sped up it would be a mess if he wrote all the keys that would also be sped up
@vanezcha8 жыл бұрын
+Zachary Sluder while i'm not a pro myself i imagine i'd be lazy to every time go to the panel to change my sculpting tool. i use hotkeys. and some tools will only appear once we sculpt while holding ctrl, etc. seeing that i havent posted any vid at all I am lazier than all the uploaders around lol.
@clickchapman52408 жыл бұрын
the sped up input keys wouldn't be a problem. True, this is a timelapse, but he can add the keys he presses and leave it sped up. Those that want to actually see what is happening can simply slow down the play speed to 0.25 and watch it in almost real time, see the input keys (shortcuts and hotkeys included) and go from there :)

Damn -.- Thank you for sharing your talent with us, you really have some great skills but just today i installed blender on my pc because i wanted to create 3d models for so long that i thought i finally have to get this started now and i am also confident that i can create models even better than this one (already have some drawing skills cause i draw since i was a litte child) but this video just showed me how much practice i will need and how much work it still will be after i got used to all the tools and stuff... but i just have to carry on i guess ^^ How long did it take for you to get where you are right now?
@ChrisVian889 жыл бұрын
+mezzomac7 Well, i dont remember exactly. I've been using Blender for about 7 years until now and learning sculpting from many people around the industry and from my friends, they all inspired me a lot. Constantly practice will takes you to the next level.

24:57 Wait, how did you fix the holes there merging two ends of the mesh? I tried that when creating hair for my character, but the holes kept ruining my sculpt constantly. They just wouldn't merge!
@ChrisVian888 жыл бұрын
Hey there, I used remesh for merge them together, but first I did overlap each other.
@TushantMirchandani8 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I take Remesh is part of Sculpt Tools? Or is it a different add-on altogether?
@ChrisVian888 жыл бұрын
It is part of the Sculpt Tools UI, or if you want to do it manually you can just go to the object mode and add a remesh modifier. I hope this will clear up :)

@MishaShivers8 жыл бұрын
Wow! Seriously impressive. When you model like this, is this the sort of thing that could conceivably used in a game or animation? Or is it more for display only?
@lordofthelandsquids8 жыл бұрын
+Misha Shivers When you sculpt out a model like this, it is made up of thousands and thousands of polygons with no discernible edge flow. In order to make this a game/animation ready model, the artist would have to retopologize the model completely. However, there is a modifier in Blender called multiresolution that can do something similar.

Hey ! I love your work. I noticed that you use a retopology tool in your timelaps (located in the script tab of your toolbar). I’m very intrested in knowing if you’ve developed that tool on your own or if it’s a downloadable add-on or even part of a specific Blender branch.
@ChrisVian888 жыл бұрын
Hey there, About the retopology tool, I bought that from Blender cookies. Glad you like this video.
@YvesPerera8 жыл бұрын
Oh great ! thx for the quick answer. :) Was it on the blender market that you've got it ?
@YvesPerera8 жыл бұрын
+Chris Vian Oops actually I can't find the add-on and I realized that I made a mistake because I worte "retopology" when really I'm intrested in the "remesh" tool that you often use while sculpting. ^^'
