What this really reminds me of is Dead Island: Epidemic. Funnily enough, it seems that there is still some movement of sorts to bring that game back from the dead as well. In any case, this game gives those same type of gameplay vibes, can't wait to check it out!

You should check out Killsquad.. it is similar to this but you do level up each mission like a moba and it plays extremely smooth. I have been loving it.

Point of moba especially lol the appeal is being able to pick up and play. You dont need to grind for arbitrary gear in a pve mode. If they want to improve the game. Throw all current character designs in the trash. Then go full night stalker, where players are the monsters fighting monsters.
