Actually i hate this game especially when i start the 1st horsemans darksiders as War. Acutually like kill monster without clear motives. But after seeing the 3rd, i actually understand it and the timeline. This game colored text actually like a personification about something. Something to note because the video wasnt clear on the mysterious sigil from the hollow guy: you have to kill abraxis AND choose to spare the hollow guy to get it. What does acquiring Abraxis's soul do if you can get the Relic from LotH with or without it? So it seems like Sparing LotH doesn't depend on the decision made at abraxis, based on what I've seen. Spare LotH - Get Relic, affects ending. Kill LotH - Optional Boss, no relic. Kill Abraxis - Optional Boss, Get Soul, does ?? Spare Abraxis - Just a little extra flavor lore about how he serves the destroyer?

You can not trigger the option to Kill or Spare the Lord of Hollows until you meet up with Abraxis. His soul is simply to prove to the LoHs that you killed him. It serves no other purpose in the game.

Is the soul just a way to ensure Abraxis doesn't come back? Will the next games' stories depend on these decisions since letting Abraxis live and collecting the Sigil could make a big difference in the outcome? Are they gonna make us wait till Darksiders 4 (or till 5) to see if these consequences matter at all? I'm already impatient due to the suspense!

Whole Abraxis/Lord of the Hollows is optional Quest, it must be completed before you fight Pride if you dont you wont find them in their places 1) kill Abraxis + spare Lord of the Hollows = TRUE ENDING you are capable to defend yourself from charred council and lucifer in post credit is angry (you get Abraxis soul item, Lord of the Hollows in exchange gives you the trinket that improves ending) 2) spare Abraxis + kill Lord of the Hollows = NORMAL ENDING you run from charred council, lucifer in post credit is pleased 3) kill Abraxis + kill Lord of the Hollows = NORMAL ENDING 4) spare Abraxis + spare Lord of the Hollows = NORMAL ENDING (even if you spare hollows he wont give you trinket because you didnt get abraxis soul)

I didn't witness this scene because I quit the game right soon after I killed Wrath in the lowlands, so when I loaded my game, I spawned at the beginning of the Lowlands and was stuck because Wrath was already dead and the elevator was gone. So I had to use Vulgrim's portal to go to Pride directly. So I never met Abraxis and the Lord of Hollows still lives in my save game even though I finished the story.

i killed Abraxis and bring his soul to LOH before battle with Wrath and he just give you his relic if you spare him.People said that after you fight Pride,that Hollow dude just die from old age anyway so no relic for you

@@Devils_Lair_Comics yeah I didn't mean literally but they are the same type of Demon race. I could've swore he was the King or Ruler of hell before Lucifer fell from God's grace and that's why he hates him. Might be mixing mythos but I think you learn bits and pieces in Darksiders 1.

@@leonelgalan9431 I think that you have it a little mixed up Samael didn't run things before Lucifer; he was to REPLACE The Dark Prince. But when Abaddon became The Destroyer, Samael was the only one to speak out against the angel who tried to frame the Second Kingdom for attempting to trigger the end war early leading the armies of Hell...so his power was stripped from him and placed within Tiamat, The Griever, The Stygian, and Silitha to keep him from attaining his birthright.

@@Devils_Lair_Comics That's put very litghtly, Samaels' power is far from Abraxis as is mentioned in the second game he might be stronger than Dark prince himself and you can also see how powerful he is in the second game... I mean the strongest of the Horsemen only scratched him in fight and he was also able to watch his every move independently on time. I'm so disappointed that Samael was not in the third game, it's the most interesting character in the series imho and I hoped we could get some hint for his plans and motives, but the whole story of the third game sucks besides like last 20 minutes...

His eyes are also fiery orange. That's from the Darksiders wikia info on the Lord of the Hollows.

Is missing a cutscene if you have that sigil (kill Abraxis and spare LotH)! It triggers before entering the council chamber. ... Is not a big deal, it just emphasize the importance of that relic.

So i did something weird, I didn't kill Abraxis or the Lord of hollows, The end result is i didn't get the amulet from the LoH and it played out as if i had killed him, although i still got the cutscene where the LoH evaporates.

But what is known about it is that has the ability to hold an eternity's worth of hollowed out souls from Heaven,Hell and Earth. Why the Council and other powerful figures in the Darksiders universe want it/fear It so much I don't know hopefully it will be explained more in latter games or something.
