Darksiders 1 was a hack and slash Darksiders 2 was role playing Darksiders 3 was souls-like And Darksiders Genesis was a dungeon crawler game... What would the next Darksiders game be? A kart racing or a dating sim?

*_Mario Party games_*_ with all four horsemen_ 😂 But jokes aside, a Co-op hack n' slash with all horsemen is what many, myself included, have been waiting for. _Darksiders Genesis™_ gave us that action with two of the horsemen, can't wait to see all four in action with complementing playstyles. Just like it was originally planed.

If the next Darksiders game has Strife as the Protagonist maybe something similar to Bayonetta? Most likely he would also have melee-attacks but primarily would use different range-weapons.

@@yannickspiessens3472 Not necessarily because in Darksiders Genesis you can also play him and the perspective is from the top and not First-Person and as I mentioned before Bayonetta also had a lot of shooting without being a FPS. I heard that a fourth game is in the making so only time will tell.

Ranking weapons in my opinion: 1. Barbs of scorn. 2. Axe or Hammer of scorn. (I like big BONK) 3. Claws of Scorn. The rest I don't like enough.

Polearm is great imo, and it has the best counter attack. Lightning bolt without any range limitation. Axe also has a god tier AOE counter attack too.

Does Fury ever mention why does she have a fighting style with certain weapons very similar to Death? Like from a game perspective I get it, it was to save resources in a company that was going through bankruptcy at the moment, but they never gave an in-game reason did they?

Well their physique is the same but Fury apparently looks less skilled and agile than Death. Death's secondary move combos were more precise than Fury and Fury doesn't have follow up attacks like Death does (sweet spots). Death's dash and reverse attacks were lacking from Fury's arsenal too.

I share that sentiment towards all those Souls-like elements. At least, the combat moves and animations hold up to the rest of the series.

@solracstormhunter3023 what genuinely annoys me is how much disconnect it creates. DS gameplay make sense because you are a literal nobody, which justifies it's brutal confrontations and battles. Fury is NOT some no-name nobody, she is one of the 4 horseman and a Nephilim, who in lore are so powerful they can stand against the forces of Angels and Demons It's also out of character to have this hot-headed, arrogant, furious (duh) individual in the cutscene but then her gameplay is slow, methodical and prefer chip damages rather than big bombastic moves

I agree with everything you said. 👏 I would say the entire *_Darksiders™_* franchise is built on _"following trends",_ but _Darksiders 3™_ takes it to the next level in a negative way. It is also apparent on her redesign, that this mentality also affected Fury's character, were it is undoubtely that they tried to avoid being accused of _"sexism"_ or _"overly sexualising women"._ Which is why (how I pointed it out on someone else's comment) *Fury* became this female version of *War* and not the badass mage she used to be in the old concepts and _Darksiders™_ comics.

I could never get in the mood to combo with Fury. I feel like it'd have been better if her switch-combos for the secondary weapons had instead been delay-combos. Also they really gave up when it came to the DLC weapons.

You know I really, REALLY wanted to love Darksiders 3 but I just didn't like its half-baked attempts at being a Souls-Like it just didn't feel right. Out of all the games I absolutely loved Darksiders 2 tho, idk maybe I need to return to this game later on and give it a proper try cause I freaking love Darksiders and I'm so glad we are gonna get a sequel soon.

She was female from the get-go. But her original version was more of a female magician with a sexy outfit and a whip. A feel like they went too hard on changing her vibe, to avoid "sexualising her", that she ended up becoming a female version of War. Speaking of _"Male personification of Fury":_ That's exactly what the character *Wrath* from the *Seven Deadly Sin* bosses in this very is.
