It doesn't make sense though as she's the first Sin you defeat, also I didn't get why you have to fight Wrath again after killing him

@@LoverOfBellies It was an fake Envy, when Fury uses the amulet on the first time you see the color of that creature soul is white. The whole thing is orchestrated by the real Envy to trick everyone. When Fury absorbs a real sin the color of their soul is always green, you can fact check this if you rewatch the cutscenes. Also for Wrath, the sins can't be killed in a normal way, they just reappear again, thats why they need to be sealed in the first place, in the first fight against Wrath, Fury didn't use the amulet, so thats why he is alive later in the game.

The one you killed was likely just a puppet of Envy, filled or corrupted by Envy herself to make her act and seem like she did before Fury. When you beat her, the light that consumes her, like all the other sins, is white and not green, being an indicator of her falsehood. There are plenty of hints throughout the game. Like Abraxis looking at the watcher, as states "The meek always envy the strong. Isn't that right Watcher?" As he looks at the watcher itself. Same goes for Lust, as she, during your post-fight cinematic with her, states that she knows where Envy is and will give up her location, if you spare her. We assume she doesn't know we already beat her, so the offer to us seems with no value. She continues speaking, looking at specifically at the Watcher with clear camera view directing this, saying "She is the most pathetic of us." with a soft smile. You'll have to look up the voice actress yourself though. x)

@@HouDivi good explanation but when did the swap took place? since it was the Council who appointed said Watcher to Fury. So it was Envy all along and the Council didnt notice? Im smelling plot hole here or atleast poor storytelling...

I liked the story until the point where I had to fight Wrath again after I'd already defeated him & the fact that the Watcher was Envy all along even though she's the first Sin you defeat in the game; it just didn't make sense & kind of ruined things a bit
