The more tutorials you follow, the more you'll understand what all the stuff does. That's what I'm finding. It's the best way to learn.

That's a cool tip, but in this case he duplicated the synth and changed it, so that the left had different settings from the right, which added extra character to the sound. But it's still useful to the tip you mentioned :-)

For those of you (like me) who have reason setup so that it automatically loads up Scream4 as "initialized patch" instead of the "default patch"...the default is the "easy fuzz" one. Took a few moments to work out what was going wrong. D'oh! :)
@SawWaveSurfer14 жыл бұрын
@pokerockmario123 They are using Cubase as the recording software and sequencer with various plug-ins for processing sounds, a Roland SH-201, a Access Virus C (or TI, not sure) and pretty much everything that sounds good and is available to them.

Brilliant! Nice and... e... nasty" :-) Great tutorials you make, thanks a lot :-) tThere aren't much good tutorials out there on making dubstep, maybe artists don't want to share their knowledge to not loose the advantage thaye have been working on for years? Thumb up! Thanks again!

@DjLukeBradford I'm not too good at setting up midi controllers yet, but if you use the pencil tool to draw a blank clip in the sequencer window, then either double click on it or click the edit mode button, then you can draw in the notes. also, make sure to set the "snap" to the smallest note length you plan to use, or it will just snap to whatever note position it's set to.

@DjLukeBradford if the notes are there, but the wrong length, you can click the note and then drag the tiny black triangle to stretch the note length to any multiple of the increment "snap" is set to I hope this helps
@SawWaveSurfer14 жыл бұрын
@pokerockmario123 As i said before, they are using the hardware synths Roland SH-201 & Access Virus C (or TI), but i'm sure they use software synths, too - IF they need or want to, because they already have 2 brilliant synth available.

you dont have to duplicate everything if there is a mixer in your combinator. flip the rack move the cord going to in right and move it to the next channels in left. then pan each channel. it helps a lot.
