Darktide Fanimated sneak peek - It'll never be over

Progress on the Cadian guardsman as of 28.09.2024, textured and animated during the Twitch stream. So far only 1/4 out of the way. If you're not sure what I'm referencing, the past 3 community posts sum it up! I streamed on Twitch for a one-off occassion, texturing a DT model in a Telltale/Borderlands inspired artstyle. My other completed models are Rinda Karnak and an Ogryn + Rannick partially, those are all in the community posts.

To go out of your way and retexture characters entirely is just INSANE. What's even crazier is how amazingly you pulled it off. Absolutely amazing work. (The line-art only section also gave me INTENSE flashbacks to Madworld)

I like his ginger sideburns, i didnt at first but the more i look at it, it really makes him visually distinct. Like i bet he'll be recognizable in a crowd. Also WOW, 2 and a half hours for *most* of a single character model? That really puts into perspective the time it takes to make these kinds of things. Looks great though!

I can't wait until this one is released. I love the idea of going with this kind of texture style. Makes me think of The Walking Dead Telltale Series. If you don't mind me asking, what's wrong with the original textures? Is this an artistic choice or is there some kind of limitation that prevents texture rips from Darktide?

Facial expressions have been important to me since day one, I'd rarely ever back out on a chance to animate someone's face in my anim Or at least not for the main front stage characters
