The Obscurus got slightly buffed with this recent patch with its Heavy 1's damage but so far the underlying issue of its weird moveset (especially in regards to Light 2) still make this a middling weapon at best. The Bolt Pistol however, is a fun alternative to Revolvers if you're a bit more patient with your aim while also providing decent crowd control from its explosive stagger.

Best to do is buy a bunch, upgrade to blue to get blessings from the lowest point one all the way to the highest ones you purchased to get them

Wait, what? Obscurus Force Sword was buffed? I mean, buffed like it's no longer complete MeMe material or buffed as actually can compete with other weapons?

It’s a very minor Heavy 1 buff. Helps slightly with some breakpoints but doesn’t address the main issue of having a terrible Light 2 that doesn’t chain well for either horde or single target damage. Obscurus Mk II Blaze Force Sword Added a new Heavy Strikedown damage profile for the Heavy 1 attack that suits the actual attack better, including slightly better Weakspot / Critical Hit values. First Target: Damage increased from 100-200 to 150-350 Stagger increased from 4-8 to 7-15. Second Target: Damage reduced from 80-160 to 60-130.

@@Vamp0613 Ha, I have to say the Obscurus appreciation club was fairly small before so that little buff is welcome. Not a massive change. Lack of a dedicated horde clear combo, and so and so mobility hurts Obi the most. Obscurus is usable for sure, I see myself regularly breaking 300k dmg with it, but especially its light attacks need some work.

@@definitelynotadam if the light 2 was at least a diagonal or horizontal sweep with a bit more baseline cleave for a more serviceable horde combo the Obscurus would have a bit more identity as a true middle ground of the 3. Uppercut attacks just don't work well in the 'tide games historically due to the horde based nature of engagements.

Shame we can't change the colour and cross hair of reflex sights yet. At least there's a mod for the bolt gun now, last time I tried, couldn't mod the gun.

How are you getting the 12 shards for Assail? I'm a new player, and I thought the most you could get was 10.

One of the maelstrom conditions is enhanced blitz which gives +2 charges to nades/psyker abilities. For smite/brainburst it reduces peril cost

You have the blocking uses peril talent but you have a stamina curio? For more sprinting or?

Yes, I have extreme melee brainrot from playing all the classes so even with the wizard I'd prefer to get to melee faster.

It’s a sidegrade at best in context to the revolver. It functions better if treated like an explosive shotgun that could reach out far if needed but is mostly close-mid ranged.

Revolver is more precise in deleting beefy targets. Bolt pistol got bigger magazine and faster reload speed. It feels different gameplay-wise, a bit awkward at times.
