Nintendo 64 Longplay - Diddy Kong Racing Part 2

Part 2 of this Longplay run. Emulator of choice: Mupen64-rr-v8. Recorder used: BB Flashback Pro. And as you can gather, I got it working in widescreen.
This ain't a perfect run, and I have no intentions on making it so. Nor do I plan on using cheats. Once I at least find the key in each world, I proceed to play as usual. And yes, I did an in game restart on some races. Either from focusing on getting some keys, knowing that by getting them I wouldn't finish the race. Or, because of mistakes I made.
And considering the time I spent recording these videos, I'm not deleting them. Took too long recording each one, so not caring about perfection. Sorry.

You're going so much faster than what is possible on the N64 in the plane/hoover. Still lovely you posted this though. One of my favorite games ever, since it combines adventure with racing! Love it.

That would be the art of Hover Jumping. You maintain your acceleration when jump turning the hovercraft, so by proxy you can afford to keep the momentum going for the same purpose.

Loved this game. Way better than the new mario karts. Skill is required instead of getting lucky power ups from RNG!

I loved to play Diddy Kong Racing on Nintendo 64, so I played as Pipsy and Bumper unless I could drive a car, steer a hovercraft, even fly a plane. I should begin to race with them unless I knew I could win, but this was gonna be tough a lot. Well, I hoped you enjoyed the game. Jimmy Kielbasa out.

I love and HATE this game. lol. Controlling the hover craft is a bitch and for the longest time, I didn't realize that you had to let go of the gas, when using the speed pads or boost items. LMAO.

At the time I did this, I didn't have decent encoding software that would switch the resolution to something better. So I had to work with what I had. I've had it improved FAR better.

I placed it on stretch.site and then just pushed the 16:9 to 4:3 button. I do a lot. Sometimes videos letterbox horribly on my CRT monitor and then I just throw them onto that site.

This is something I wish I had known about back in 2013. When I did all of this on my old laptop. In more recent streams of the game, everything is properly scaled for full on widescreen.
