Nintendo 64 Longplay - Diddy Kong Racing Part 3

Part 3 of this Longplay run. Emulator of choice: Mupen64-rr-v8. Recorder used: BB Flashback Pro. And as you can gather, I got it working in widescreen.
This ain't a perfect run, and I have no intentions on making it so. Nor do I plan on using cheats. Once I at least find the key in each world, I proceed to play as usual. And yes, I did an in game restart on some races. Either from focusing on getting some keys, knowing that by getting them I wouldn't finish the race. Or, because of mistakes I made.
And considering the time I spent recording these videos, I'm not deleting them. Took too long recording each one, so not caring about perfection. Sorry.

This game really does still look lovely. It's amazing how well these simple mostly flat-shaded 3D graphics hold up. Much better than most of the games on the Playstation for example. It just goes to show that if you keep your visuals nice clean and simple that you can create graphics that age very gracefully. A lot of modern developers could learn a thing of too from this approach.

Yeah, and that is great. I know exactly how that feeling is of experiencing a great game for the first time that you really like, then going back to play it several years later. An unimaginably great feeling.

Ah, yes, I loved this game. I could use a car, a hovercraft, even a plane. I thought I was going with Pipsy, Bumper, Timber and Banjo. I really loved Diddy Kong Racing only on Nintendo 64 when I got a game for my birthday when I was young in San Jose, California. I also got Mario Kart 64 and last two controllers on Nintendo 64 for my birthday, too. I loved to play all four players with my brother, sisters and friends together. Well, I really hoped you enjoyed the game. Jimmy Kielbasa out.
