The GTA Heist To End All Heists "Crushed" By A GTA 5 Speedrunner

Rockstar blesses me with a new heist to throw my legendary GTA 5 speedrun skills at. I think we can agree my first attempt was the most optimal display of skill and creative problem solving ever done in the history of mankind. I expect my display will result in me being asked to consult on GTA 6. Call me Rockstar.
The Cayo Perico Heist apparently uses some assets that were cut from GTA 5 single player. There was originally mean to be a heist of Martin Madrazo's house, which is alluded to by dialogue still in the game. Overall, it was not a bad heist considering it still has all the same flaws of GTA Online.

Matt does have a great aim but the difference from the Story Mode and Online is info and difficulty. Matt basically know all the strats and memorized the enemies spawn, the enemies' aim and damage aren't that crazy in story mode. Matt basically play GTA Online blind, not having any information of the best strat or enemies spawn or the mission itself, the enemies' aim and damage are crazy in GTA Online.

Hey Matt, fun fact: Gun melee can actually be activated by a separate button. Just change the "Light Melee Attack" keybind under "Combat" to what you want your gun melee to be. This is only an issue due to the default for this keybind being "R" but it can be resigned separately from your reload.

Sure his complaints would’ve been mitigated had he taken the extra time to find out different strats, but he’s streaming so I’m sure he felt pressured to do a good job *on his own* while still being entertaining within a certain time frame. “Yeah but the most obvious way to play it was stealthy” You say this as if that’s not what he was trying to do. GTA’s stealth mechanic is complete trash, and when you add the fact that it was a blind play through into the equation it’s understandable that he fails miserably. Unless they watched a tutorial I’m sure at least half the people who played were just as lost as he was. I’m pretty sure you’re speaking from the POV of somebody who already knows how to play the heist optimally. So of course we’re going to point out things he could’ve done better but he didn’t have the same knowledge we do about the heist.

@@desmondwatson9079 No, I have not played GTA V in years. I barely keep up with the news of it and I watch DarkViper because I love his content. Now I will say he may have tried more times than the amount showed in the video to stealth it, but from what the video shows he really didn’t try to do that. He just shot those two guys and went “Oh no I didn’t kill them, now everyone wants to kill me”. Considering how many enemies were on the map I can take a pretty good guess that Rockstar really wanted the player/players to do it stealthy. But other aspects of the heist (like not being able to climb up relatively flat slopes) incredibly stupid.

@@mil1992 it just gets very repetitive. Heist prep missions take about 30 minutes. Scope out is like 7-10 minutes which will vary on where the velum spawns. Use the bike at the airstrip to quickly get to the communications tower. And the actual heist takes like 10 minutes

The original Dave is "About as good as can be expected.." The online Dave is the opposite. Also, scope out the drainage tunnel behind the compound and upgrade the Sparrow helicopter inside the Kosatka submarine to get missiles on it.

it's strange to me that not many people know that you can change session type by moving into creator and then going into either invite only or solo or whatever you want. It also helps you quick travel from Cayo during the scoping to go back to your sub (set spawn location to the sub) after seeing what the score is, just pause and go to creator, then in creator pause (p on keyboard) and go to online and there ya go.

I know for a fact you can create public solo sessions on Xbox. Just test the NAT type in settings and it will leave you a public lobby but with no one else. So can do all sell missions without being killed by some Mk2
