Most of matto playing this game is him complaining about the game not handing him things like money when it’s a big $ on the map or the hacking not being great when he ignores the white line literally pointing at things he can hack, top tier gameplay
@AlphaGarg Жыл бұрын
The big $s in the map literally give you less than 5k dollars, they're too much trouble given how little they actually are worth. The main missions should give you money, there's no reason why they shouldn't. The main issues he has are with bugged movement, terrible checkpoints, and tanky enemies, all of which are valid.

@@AlphaGarg Money Bags are usually In restricted areas with enemies, and are extremely easy to compete, not even harder than the main missions. Some other money bags are even easier to get because they’re under a crate or a specific area where only you’re drones have access to, or you’ll have to elevate yourself to a certain area to get the bags. Both scenarios are still very easy and shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes. Collecting these in between missions will obviously be beneficial for you, and shouldn’t be a problem since it shouldn’t take long at all to collect. The main missions don’t give you money because this isn’t GTA, and you can easily collect money from just exploring the map. The “bugged movement” is very uncommon, only showing up in situations like at 46:04 and 1:04:25, if you’re good at the game you wouldn’t even know missions had “terrible checkpoints” (seriously, this isn’t Dark Souls, the missions shouldn’t feel impossible to completed and if they are, try a different route.), and the tanky enemies obviously require melee combat to defeat, and/or explosives and electrical boxes. Edit: I seriously forgot to mention how you can just hack people for money in free roam. I must have gained millions of bucks from just running around robbing people with the blue squares around their head, another think Matto missed. Seriously, any game that lets you rob people by just pressing X while looking at them doesn’t even need to give you money after completing a mission because now it’s just holding your hand at that point. Seriously, it’s easy af to get money in this game.
@AlphaGarg Жыл бұрын
@@ILikeSoda229 "because this isn’t GTA" is a really funny way of saying "because the devs felt like it", which itself is another way of saying "I have no idea the reason they designed it that way, but I'm still gonna insist it's good". Could you, like, give a reason why the main missions don't reward you with money? It's not just GTA that does that, and it does that for a reason. So that the player's progression in the story is tied to the player's progression in terms of money and equipment. Yes, DVAU should be using blue square people for money, and it's very dumb that he doesn't, but dang brother it shouldn't be a requirement to have an UPGRADE or to do SIDE missions to earn money. Look at the words in capital letters. Upgrades should be there to act as an improvement or an addition to available options, like the cop or gang attack hacks, and similar ones. This is like if being able to earn gold from enemies in Skyrim required you to put a skill point in sneak or something. And side missions... are side missions. They're supposed to be optional. Which, yeah, technically they are, you don't ever *need* money to progress in the game, but the puzzles are all designed with the quadcopter in mind, which requires money, and combat is just unfair without proper guns, which also requires money, since apparently the game is so well built that the enemy guards' ARs are glued to the floor after death. Electrical boxes are few and far between. There is rarely more than one or two paths to an objective, and the container path he was taking was clearly the developer intended path as it had special dialogue tied to it that clearly said the only way to avoid the guards at the bottom floor, short of taking them out. Taser's loud, so that's not an option for stealth. Drones get easily detected and the mission requires Markus to physically go to a room. And the stealth can be broken incredibly easily, sometimes even instantly for some reason (bug?). It's just poor design or lack of care that the intended route is buggier than current day Fallout 76, and it's BAD. B. A. D. Ungood. Do you understand that Ubisoft is a huge corporation with decades of experience and millions of dollars at their fingertips? There's no excuse for that kind of jank in a AAA game. That's the kind of thing that makes slavjank like Stalker look polished in comparison, the kind of thing that should've been caught by QA. That it wasn't, or more likely, was, but the developers weren't allowed to fix it because priorities laid on the DLC (that always show up first in the mission select screen on the phone, if you haven't noticed) and other cheap tactics to leech money off customers. Late-stage capitalism at its finest. Same goes for the lack of checkpoints, no excuse. It doesn't matter that you think anyone should be good enough to get through that without failing. If they got through it, if they did the puzzles, if they did the stealth, they shouldn't have to do it all over again. Not to mention, y'know, the fact that *he only lost so many times because of the glitchy/poorly integrated container physics*? Which, like, isn't the player's fault, at all? And that's without mentioning that most of the puzzles in the game are just terrible puzzles. Compare them to the ones in Portal. In Portal, you always know what you need to do - get an orb in a thing, a cube on a button, a laser on a port. The puzzle part is figuring out how to do that. The closest WD2 gets to that is the pipes that only get unlocked if they receive a signal from X ends. But that's *all* it does, when it does it. There's no variety other than where the pipes are or how they're arranged. It's like if the entirety of Portal 1 was just momentum puzzles, over and over again. They're so uninteresting and repetitive that their presence feels more like it's out of obligation than because the devs thought of a neat or cool idea for a puzzle. Same goes for the stealth. It pales in comparison to something like Thief, or, hell, even Farcry 3. That game had a much more fun and engaging stealth system thanks to how open the levels were and how low the consequence for failing stealth was. You had stealth, and it was rewarding and fun, and people did it without needing to be forced to do it. Ubisoft game, too, by the way, so it's shit they should be well aware of. And of course, Assassin's Creed, which is fantastic in terms of stealth, and, at least in terms of Black Flag, pretty great and fair in terms of melee combat as well. And it lets you re-enter stealth with minor consequences if you're smart.

Matto, the story is great, it has a lot to do with algorithms, manipulation etc. Dušan (CTO of Blume) wants their Bellwether (predictive algorithm) to be even better = he wants to feed it more and more data - that's why he boosted Dedsec numbers (so everyone from Sillicon Valley runs to him for protection, joins ctOS 2.0). And he gets their data in exchange. So at the end of this VOD, Blume "allowed" Chinese hackers and the Auntie Shu gang to get inside the New York Stock Exchange and use the predictive algorithm to make money, because Dušan and Blume wanted to see what the algorithm can do.

Hot take (or maybe slightly warm take), they should never have added guns to this game (for the player and protagonists anyways). It makes zero sense. If they removed guns and spent like 2 months bugfixing this game woulda been ok, albeit with lame writing. I do think you’re missing a looooot of stuff / options / ways to complete things in the game but I think that’s bc you play this coming from a GTA perspective when this game is about as far from GTA as it can be in many ways. Like the whole NASA hacking mission where you keep trying to use the container that is obviously bugged, while you could just sneak your way out or climb on the elevator-car-thing and drive out, etc
@contra763111 ай бұрын
nope.The game should have both ways to play it.Its players choice.So the gun should stay in the game.And the game doesn't really have bugs.Like literally very very minor bugs, which most people won't even notice.Its just Matt is extremely bad in any video game that isn't GTA-5.The fact, I saw KZbinrs who just play only racing games, they even played this game 10 times better than Matt without complaining like a crybaby.Honestly, after watching this video I can't take him seriously in any video.He kinda has lost my respect for being this dishonest.

I dont understand why do you keep shooting everyone when that clearly doesnt work. ITS A STEALTH GAME! hack the guards phone then melee him and no one notices now rinse and repeat until your at the objective. The guns arent great so you need to use stealth and not end up in gunfights. Btw you can equip other guns by standing on them and pressing e, and if that doesnt work go to the weapon wheen and equip a gun first. Also I recommend listening to dialogue and tips the game tells you!

I can't even blame Matt cause I had the exact same issues playing this game, and couldn't finish it because of it lol. the game is insanely buggy and isn't even tied together at all; the story can't even be called mediocre, but rather some dev at Ubisoft had an insane hacker fever dream and turned it into a game story. everything you do in the game feels so disconnected from the world that WD2 is situated in, and anything that is semi-related to the "story" just feels so goofy and confusing that it might as well be a side quest. not to mention the fact that a AAA company like Ubisoft virtually just made a hi-def point-and-click adventure, all of these things just sucked the fun from the game. I just went and focused that time into AC Odyssey lol 😂
@ILikeSoda229 Жыл бұрын
Nah, “insanely buggy” is a game like Cyberpunk where it’s actually in your face 24/7, you have to find the bugs in this game. The game is fun when you use the mechanics right and know how everything works, just the problem is Matt is used to GTA V and it’s limited play style. I guess that’s just what happens when you have other 8000 hours in a game.
@contra763111 ай бұрын
So you are also a -1 IQ player like Matt.Who can't play the game but says the game is bad cause it needs too much brain power to solve the missions.
