I love the upper arm articulation, giving such a good range of motion without sacrificing the sculpt. Hope more companies copy that. It probably is overpriced, but for me I love Frazetta and I love how Frazetta Girls have been managing his legacy so I'm willing to throw a bit of extra money at that. Everyone is understandably focused on them probably doing Death Dealer one day but I'd love to see some kind of Egyptian Queen pack with her and a leopard or something as well

1) The wristguards being the same colour as his skin just looks weird. 2) At 70 USD we can get 2 Mythic Legions / Savage Crucible figures!

For the pricetag, the fig should definitely have double joints and a second headsculpt instead of faceplates

Ive been waiting for a non creator Darkwolf review since ive been seeing a bunch in hand by now. Great review as always. The price as you mentioned is the reason why I didnt preorder it even if its a great figure. I just dont see $70 here.

Sure but realistically part of what you're paying for is the fact this is a super niche product produced on a small scale.

I love the shoulder articulation.i like that it doesn't break up the bicep sculpt but gets good movement. I can't wait to get mine

Great review, Bill. Just got mine this afternoon. Had some black paint on the left leg and they replied to my email and resolved the issue in like under an hour after the first email! awesome customer service. One thing I noticed is that even though Darkwolf is a bit shiny, he looks WAY shinier in photos and videos than he is in person. Which I am very happy about, might even just hit him with a matte coat

Nice, yeah and the shine isn't a plasticy shine, it's like a sweaty glisten. I also had an issue (they sent me only one and I had ordered two), and replied super fast.

Was really excited for this figure, but it seems like I will need a better body at the least. I was hoping they'd redo the joints before release, as in 2024 there is no excuse for this crap single articulation. Gonna let it sit in my pile for now.

That’s been my concerns with it. I don’t need double joints and butterfly joints on every figure. But ones that are supposed to be melee swordsman or axe welders really need it. Especially at that price point.

Hopefully the price comes down over time or you get more stuff with it. I didn't notice any QC with mine but il check when I'm home. I hope the Panther that comes with Teegra is articulated

A figure I was really excited for, but just couldn't justify the cost of. It looks good though, and I think it sold well so we should see more hopefully. I'm a little annoyed by the trend of figures with these shapely behinds that don't allow them to put their legs far back. I get it to a degree, a good sculpt is nice, but honestly, it only takes a little more room to make a whole range of poses be available, and most characters don't need such a sculpted posterior (especially if its just going to be under a kilt or something anyways.

@@DorkLairthere’s a gap between the two clutched fingers that you can slide the arrow through. He can hold the arrow without worrying about it falling.

Not quite worth the $93cad price tag but give they're a small company they probably didn't get a deal on getting anything mass produced so one has to take that into consideration. Only the big companies get such deals. Sloppy paint work at this price point isn't excusable though. Though the lack of pain on the feathers on the arrows, shaft, and arrow heads isn't either. At least paint the arrowheads and shafts. Other than that it's not bad. Not a fan of the small arms but that's what the artwork usually looked like By the way, the two finger pose is for the bowstring.

Bill, a good first release. Paint apps will hopefully improve. Articulation will probably be updated. The IP is exciting and Frank delivered inspired art, legendary. I believe the one gesture hand is an arrow notch grip. Wonderful review ✌️

Great Review Good Sir. 👍🏼 I ordered two & I like what I see despite the cost. Much like the Loose Collector line, the prices are a bit inflated. Instead of the $70-ish price point these should be about $50-ish. That said, these companies aren’t Hasbro & they have lower margins & they need to charge more. So perhaps the quality & cost will be better if & when they become more successful. I want more Frazetta figures for sure !!

I got 15% off when I originally signed up on FG site (which essentially covered shipping/tax), and I've seen a few other promos in their news letters, so well worth signing up. I think I might paint the wrist bands a darker brown, just to contrast a little better from the skin tone.

Great review--and I hope the later figs will have improved articulation, but for a first outing, he's pretty nifty. Mine is due in less than a week--when I get him in, he'll become Lone Wolf, one of a trio of Carnie Wrestlers in my head-canon. He's named so, because he refuses to be in a tag-team--he wears his mask to keep his identity secret, so he can get paid to wrestle on the carnie circuit, but remain eligible as an "amateur" for the Olympics. 😀

Great review! I always appreciate your honesty and range of criteria you use to judge figures. I unfortunately have to agree with you in that it seems a little too expensive for what you get. I will have to pass on this one and admire it from afar. I was really hoping to be blown away and forced to consider purchasing this one. Perhaps as the company grows they will improve

It's the first production run!🙄It's not that bad..hopefully it will get more of it the next line of upgrades..🤔 or more out of it with soft goods, with double jointed knees, elbows,and more range in the neck and head movement,if it gets a better version down the road?🤔, i'm happy with mine!😏👍
