_One_ of the best. There is no "best female singer ever," because there are so many of them with more or less equal singing ability, but who each bring something different to the table (different voice, different singing style). She's not a better singer than Patsy Cline, LeAnn Rimes, Christina Aguilera, and so on. They are all world-class singers, among the best ever, just as she is. There are even some who weren't well known as singers who are among the best ever, like Ja'net DuBois (the woman who sang the "Movin' on Up" theme song for The Jeffersons, best known as an actress).
