In the past Michael did favor Elizabeth and yes, Evan did get jealous at times. He still gets jealous in the future to some degree. Michael felt guilty after the bite and that caused him to care for them both equally (even though they were dead). Michael did notice that Evan might've been jealous but, he thought he making assumptions. In the past Evan thought that Elizabeth favored Michael even though she loved them both equally. Her death changed his behavior towards Evan because he told him to go watch her while he went to go hang out with his friends. After she died he couldn't handle taking the blame himself, so he started taking his emotions out on Evan and blaming him instead. Evan still loves and cares about Michael but he has a difficulty showing it. He still resents him for the bite. He purposefully tries to piss him off as a sort of get-back for all the things he said and did in the past. He also does this because he knows that Michael will most of time, put up with it.
