Hello friends! In this video I change my aesthetic to romantic academia, heavy with the vintage vibes, because it's one of my favorite aesthetics for spring! Initially I focus on romantic academia, cottagecore and light academia towards the end as well :) I dye my hair, make floral tea, dance in the spring rainfall of spring, and make cute Japanese fruit sandwiches (definitely a must try spring recipe!) I also take a bit of time to share some books to read during spring. I really hope you enjoy! :)

Its Autumn in Australia so I'm ALL INTO the WARM TONES. I start to read more and my chronic pain is less intense as it gets worse in the heat. Last night it got down to 6˚C (42˚F), with mist in the morning when I went to wake up my chickens. Usually March in Australia is Very dry due to the dry summers. But this year everything is still green and the roses still think its spring as they haven't stopped flowering. The summer unfortunately was very humid and my Fibromyalgia wasn't very happy with the tropical-like weather. But the garden looks beautiful still and I live near Melbourne in an outer suburb that was a gold mining town many years ago, so its very beautiful here. The wildlife has been stunning, lots of kangaroos enjoying the grass and shrubs and the birds have been acting like its spring compared to autumn.

For a lot of us, the world has repeatedly beaten and kicked us, robbed us of our innocence and mocked our sense of childlike wonder. Told us that to matter we have to have an expensive education, find a wealthy spouse, raise a family, get a high-income job. I don't know what fairy tale world you live in where Desis are a dime a dozen. She didn't let the world win. I think that's an enormous and admirable accomplishment; don't belittle it.

It may not be that you thrive best in the autumn or the spring, so much as you thrive best each time the winds of change blow thru. Personally I am always excited for the change of cold, dark weather to bright and warm, but also vice versa. By the time each new season rolls around I am just so ready and eager for it. I love that every thing in nature cycles and that we have both dawns and sunsets to look forward too each day. Change in itself, the motion, the great dance, it's such a beautiful, enlivening thing.

I read “Heidi” in the spring too! My great grandmother used to read it to my mom and so she actually named me Heidi from that childhood memory with her grandmother! I have the same edition my mom read to me when I was little! My grandpa is half Swiss, so that always made it feel special too ❤️

@@kritikaaagaur I could do that, but I don’t know how many people would watch it 🙈 I honestly don’t do anything special. I usually let it air dry, don’t use much heat, and I use hair oil once I get out of the shower. That’s pretty much it ☺️

I am of Irish heritage....my hair color has been described as color of "whiskey" ....it is red with honey highlights and I was born that way. People have asked me my whole life about my redheaded temper, about if I am named Bourbon, Amber, Red etc...and also who or where I get my hair dyed. I used to get teased terribly as a child and young teen. I grew to not just "suffer" with it...but to PROUDLY, DARINGLY... "OWN IT WITH FEARLESS PRIDE!" lol! So I smile when I see you ..." just going for it" whenever you decide to change things up! I tried to "go blonde" once...but it ended badly...like a washed out platnuim then red roots....so I am still a " whiskey-haired" gal lol!

I got the Diary of an Edwardian Lady for my birthday last summer and read it all during a week-long camping trip in the Canadian wilderness on a trip that saw about 173 different varieties of wildflowers. I only discovered this channel yesterday but it encompasses almost all of my hobbies and interests, it's amazing! Ah what a beautiful video! I love your hair too btw! You’ve really inspired me to try to do something similar for Autumn here in Aus and make a list of books, foods, movies and what not to get myself in the Autumn feeling. Our Autumn, at least in SE Queensland, isn’t very orange and cold, but kind of like a slightly different and more rainy spring. I actually love it, all the mushrooms, how deep and green it is because of the rain, and seeing the plants and flowers have their second wind after the stifling summer. (Really hoping you’ll do a summer version of your winter video, because I find it quite hard to enjoy summer when it’s too hot and oppressive to be outside 😅) I think I’ll also come back to this video in 6 months to refresh my memory on your spring books and activities ❤️

AH! I just started making my own "Country diary" by sketching all the flowers and plants that grow in my yard. I'm not that good at drawing, but I take pressure off of it by just treating it like a field journal. It's been so fun and lovely to take the time, pause, draw, and really pay attention to the little blessings in my small yard. Side note- have you heard of Charlotte Mason? I think you would find her way of education, especially the nature studies fascinating! :D Thank you for the lovely video, I've enjoyed it immensely!
