Mr Daniel, the meat you slow cooked looked extremely tender and delicious,I've slow cooked a wild pork loin for almost 14 hours, that's because I got busy and didn't check on it,but it was slow cooked, the ingredients were pork loin,4 cups water, onions, finely chopped celery,mushrooms,2 packages of Ranch dressing(powered kind)then 1 hour before it's considered done,I'd add a few potatoes, you just about can't cook a pork loin and it not be good, may the Lord continue to bless you and your family.

Sprite or 7up over a beef or pork roast in crock pot is always good too. Then drain the juice(all but about half cup maybe less) but then use the juice to help make your own BBQ sauce, shred the meet, put in a aluminum tin pan and put on smoker for about 2 hours while it soaks in the homemade bbq sauce(I make it a little thin so that way it keeps meat moist.) Then havarti cheese and shredded meat on a homemade sub is so yummy. Oh of course add your usual seasoning.

Just some advice for you fellas, When you have a back strap or ANY lean , larger cut of meat that size, SEAR or on all side QUCKLY in a high temp skillet or grill top. Let it rest for 20 minutes THEN place it in your smoker at 225° for 1 hour and then let it rest for at least 8 minutes , 10-15 is best. Let me know and LOVE THE CHANNEL!👍🏻💪🏽🍊 GBO

My daughter cooks a lot of wild pig, and she said adding a potato to the crock pot takes some of the wild taste also they cut slits in the roast and put a garlic clove in them before cooking. Really good eating. We have a real pig problem here in Florida. My kids have a sod farm, and the pigs can tear up acres in one night.

Fantastic journey. The CCC video of the wild pig hunt was very interesting. I think Greg, the Pool Guy, enjoyed the experience. Houston has become quite the marksman. I was not surprised with the rsults from the cook part of the CCC. In my opinion, there is a big difference between the farmer raised meats and meat from the wild. What the animals eat affects the end results. Your preparation of the meat appeared to be spot on and you sure did a great job in the Cleaning of the wild hog. Thanks for sharing that experience withthose of us who have never been on a hog hunt.

I am 65, as a kid, my parents fed us meat that now I am thankful for. but back in the day the lamb taste and smell has made me to never eat, and to this day I can not ever eat pork, dad was 32 years in the Navy, and mom was a waitress at a steak house, we eat others left overs. I have so enjoyed all the shows and even todays. Kids need to know as in the past, if you kill an animal, it better be for eating. My son was invited to quail hurt, I said , if you kill it, you feather it and cook it.He was a FFA kid in high school, and all the things I had talk to him about help in his adulthood . Keep up the great knowledge and pass it on.

I had to laugh at the Lab's reaction to the piece of pork the other dog rejected. Typical Lab. LOL Our neighbor's Lab dragged out of the bush a deer carcass that was about a week old, laid it outside of her front door, and proceeded first to eat a bunch of that rotten meat and then roll around in the rotten guts. She called me up screaming like a crazy cat and I thought one of the kids had been hurt. Oh Lord...what a smell!!!!!! He was literally in the Dog House for about two weeks. LOL!!!!!

Well, I got queasy when they started skinning and gutting it. I can’t do hot (not even sweet hot) spices. BUT, last summer my son took his regular homemade grill - 55 gal drum, cut in half, with hinges - and on one side he put some charcoal. Let it burn down real well, then put wet cherry wood on top of it. Then, the pork tenderloin went in. When he took it out, it fell apart, but, the ring around the meat was about a quarter inch into the meat. We ate it just that way. No spices, no rubs, just the cherry wood smoke. I’ve never tasted anything better. I’ve had a lot of food, and a lot of it was amazing, but that won the taste test, hands down! Prayers and Blessings always ♥️🙏♥️🌧

Most wild meat has a gamey taste to it. Some people like the taste, others don't. So what I do to take the gamey out is soak it in milk for about 20 minutes. You can use powder milk too. It works well in most game animals, fish, mutton, goat and sharks.
