Shame on me...I discovered scars on Broadway in June 2018.. and I call myself a daron fan😳. ..I thought only serj was following his solo career. After listening serj on solo and daron solo, as a good fan of SOAD I found that daron was the spirit and soul of system. I love serj, but I find my SOAD vibes more with Daron. Sorry if my English is bad. I'm a french girl😅

Daron wrote most of the System's songs, Serj wrote like 2-3 songs and not the good ones (Johnny, Shimmy, 36, ,maybe Temper). So yeah, Daron was the creative mastermind all along.

I'm in contact with him since I had a beer with Orbel after a show of his former band Viza in Cologne in 2012...he said he'd love to play with Scars in Europe... Well... I bet he wasn't yet able to convince Daron of the idea who has been out of enthusiasm the last years regarding overseas trips if it wasn't for the big money shows with System :( .. Lucky me that I was able to see Scars live in Berlin as an 18 years old kiddo in 08 where I fullfiled a dream interviewing Daron around 20 min before the show for a German fanzine :D ... happiness 23 John specifically said in November that they have about 15 album ready songs done. I get where you're coming from, but the fact that they have actually been getting together and making the material is a pretty solid sign it's finally actually happening. He also seemed to allude to them feeling alot of pressure to make some sort of masterpiece due to the time spent away from the album making process, which sucks in my opinion cause I'll honestly be happy with anything at this point. I have a full understanding that Serj's voice isn't remotely what it was, and that naturally with time the creative well just runs kind of dry.. Human life, the tolls of performance on the body, and plateauing creativity simply is what it is. Regardless, I'm pumped.
