I'm extremely glad to hear the judge say going to a mental facility is not on the table hallelujah
@Tony-q3p

She doesn't have any control over that. That is determined by DOC, not the judge. Darrell was too stupid to know that. He spent two hours rambling about his mental health and it was all in vain.😅😅😅😅 Even if she believed him, which she didn't, her hands were tied because of the state guidelines.

What really got me is the 2 hour diatribe where he talked about his 8 year old daughter that “was such a light” in his life right in front of the Sparks family whose 8 year old he murdered. It was appalling. The man is an evil monster, just like everyone said.

Everything he said was to re open unhealed wounds. I had heard during trial several details that are more than likely true. His son Xavier is an adult. May be imprisoned now or getting emotional help. During trial I remember media of the young man's mother trying to get help. Erika's daughter hasn't seen him in many years. Didn't care for him. Also the young girl lives in another state hadn't seen him since an infant. During his blabbering festival during sentencing and closing. He claimed he had 4 kids. One born over summer 2022. He had not been able to 'hold touch kiss'. THIS baby is Erika's daughter's son. I still watch the videos of the trial etc. Horrible that he believes everything he said and tried to do.

Right. Every word about “ his girls” during his police interrogation was a BLATANT LIE. He kept complaining that he wasn’t allowed a phone call and he needed to call. “ his girls”. To let them know where he was, and wht was going on. He hadn’t called “ his girls” in years. He had no contact with any of his children or grandchildren. , and never paid a penny in child support.

Yes, he seemed to be trying to dig his hole as deep as possible even with the jury present. That didn't even slow him down. God how they must have hated him after weeks of that torture he subjected them to and they weren't even allowed to object to any of it. They thought they were going to hear testimony and see the evidence but got a clown show full of distractions instead. They can never get those lost days of their lives back. How every juror sat silent when he told them they had the power to nullify is a miracle! I would have snapped at that point.

Yep, words dont do justice to the term evil in a living breathing human being. He's evil personified in tangible form. Like all narcissists, he desires CONTROL; he finally doesn't have it & it repeatedly sets him off during the course of this trial. Judge Dorrow states it here to him; "The rules don't matter to you". This is textbook NARCISSISM. He lies/ denies/ gaslights/ deflects/ twists words & sentences to be favorable to him as easily as some1 breathes. Erik Patterson is his trigger. When Judge Dorrow talks about an incident the day before the parade attack involving ERIKA, which happened, which he then VEHEMENTLY denies it happened, that sets him off. And Judge Dorrow also said it here. "He knows the difference between right & wrong but ignores his conscience". AND, "he's fueled by rage". ALSO says, "some people choose a path of evil, & you Mr Brooks, I believe are 1 of those such people." It's a failure of our justice system that he wasn't in custody prior to the Waukesha parade incident. It came a little too late; but thank God he is now sentenced to 1,000+ years in jail.

He blame gamed everyone else in his world for every single thing he was caught doing wrong. Erika he was in his early 20s blamed her for lying. He is still blaming her. He wouldn't have attacked the parade if she had given her $$ and benefits card to her the day before the attack. Attorneys for trying to make deals for him all this time, when he can PROVE he is not guilty. This witness was not as injured as she said she was. This guy was driving the vehicle I rammed into, he should have moved to let me pass. Your honor there's two different names on your paperwork for being a true legal Judge. Prosecutors paperwork isn't certified for either so they can't do what they're doing. That juror on the left pointed her bad finger at me in a pre trial. I'm not feeling well your honor...I'm not sure what's going on with myself. Your honor subject matter jurisdiction has yet to be proven. Meanwhile he is on multiple videos before and after the attack as well as during the attack literally attacking people. Multiple witnesses positive IDd him. He has been doing evil for so long.... Several decades of being allowed to do EVIL. He will never accept responsibility for a single action of EVIL he has done. He was sent to the Dodge Correctional Facility right after he was sentenced. Filing his appeal, he had begged to be able to remain in county jail until after his appeal went through. That was denied. Immediately in Dodge, he wrote to his Mom saying he was being mistreated by everyone else in the place. Pre trial hearing for upcoming charges 3 different sets for abusing Erika. The attorney said that next time DB may be pro SE. Deals with the DA aren't going anywhere. DB wants trials...to continue to harass everyone, Erika included. IF this is mental health issues he is beyond help. He needs to be away from everyone else in the world forever.

He likes to listen when someone’s talking about him and he can pick out a sentence or two about him being bipolar, childhood trauma etc. he can obsess over later, ignoring all the other things said. Around the 34 minute mark right when he’s about to be removed, he’s flipping out about Erika Patterson. I swear those two damaged relationship led to this terrorist attack in Wakeusha. If his stupid mom just waited 35 hours to bail him out, if Patterson had invited him over an hour or 2 later, imo we wouldn’t have this carnage. He still would have punched her in the face but instead of hitting people on the road maybe he would have just hit someone in a car with safety features and airbags seatbelts etc. I wish Patterson didn’t bring him right to the woman’s shelter, near the parade staging ground. She didn’t kill anyone, Brooks did but bringing such a dangerous animal around so many innocents, it just shows why it’s so difficult to find locations for shelters, etc.

You're right! I was shocked it took about 30 minutes before making low volume comments. Once he started doing that, it was only a matter of time before he went full force with his over-talking the judge and his typical nonsense. I just watched two Milwaukee hearings with DB in them. He still had representation. (for the time being. He's planning on going it alone again if the cases go to trial, seeing as how this one went so well 🙄) My point is that for each of the other two cases, he came in on a wheelchair, strapped in with his typical mask, BUT not once did he interrupt the judge in either case. He let his attorneys do the talking and he didn't pull any "I don't consent to being called that name, I don't know that name and I don't know that person." So he's perfectly capable of shutting his pie hole when appropriate.

What would be the purpose of holding him in contempt, when he’s already being housed in the jail? Where would the punishment be? And she was not being kind and patient towards him, she was protecting the record for his appeal. Everything she and the prosecution did, was to make sure there was no room for error, so he would be denied an appeal. They all worked like a well oiled machine. No one here is a pushover. Everything you saw throughout the trial was purposefully done, Shoog.

Holding him in contempt would only delay the trial. That's what he wanted because he was already in custody. If he was out on bail, then that would make better sense to hold him in contempt. Darrell Brooks has been violent his whole life. This dude has domestic violence charges going back to age 18. He met Erika when she was a CHILD. He abused her sexually, she became a mother before she was old enough to get a drivers license or a full time job. He has been convicted over and over for violence against her, sometimes deadly even, (choking, smothering, running her over). The best thing that could have happened for DB’s children is his incarceration. He owes $100k in child support, and another $400k to his victims of this incident. I pray the victims heal, the city of Waukesha heals, DB’s innocent children can heal. This is extreme violence. This was an attack on an entire community, wreaking havoc upon innocent children, adults, and our elderly populations. I am very happy that this monster will never breathe freedom ever again.

He doesn't seem to understand that dropping the charges is NOT an admission that the event didn't happen. The prosecution was very clear that they dropped the charges of an event they know happened just because they had so many other charges & didn't want to confuse the jury. Especially since there was less evidence for Nov 20th than there was for the 21st. So they only persued the slam dunk charges.

PERFECT STATEMENT; I often wondered if he was aware early in the trial that the judge is the 1 doing the sentencing, once some1 is convicted. Was wondering what he was doing the whole trial, DISRESPECTING the judge, prosecution team, jury & spectators. The judge was TAKING NOTE OF THIS constantly throughout the whole trial; Noting his explosive rage, purposeful defiance, disobedience, interruptions; coupled with his 'calm' demeanor when he wanted to. Yet also noting his COMPLETE LACK OF any empathy, remorse, dishonesty & lifetime criminal record; lack of regard for others. When the judge handed down the sentence she took into account all of this. And she properly made the decision to say he's been this way his whole life, and will continue to do so if he is continued to be a free citizen. He displayed NO REMORSE, empathy for the atrocious act of what he did in the Christmas parade. This judge appropriately said the only way society will be safe from you, MR BROOKS, is if you're behind bars for the rest of your life. After all the "prelims" she then clearly states, starting at 25:30 the type of person he is. Says finally that he's just an evil person, and why he must be sentenced to prison for the rest of his life.

Nice job, Dawn Woods. You gave your son, knowing he is full of rage, the keys to your car. You knew he didn’t have a license. Dawn, you have blood on your hands.
