She helped him with the baby pictures and the bogus car recall. It makes me so angry that because of her this piece of crap was turned loose on the public. Her pitiful attempt at claiming his mental illness being the cause of this tragedy is so lame. He shot a gun at her grandson and ran over the mother of one of her grandchildren !!!! She also lied about talking with detective Casey. I don’t know why she wasn’t called into court to testify. She has culpability in this.

I understand that people are pissed that she bailed him out, but hindsight is 20/20 and I don't think she would of had she known what would've happened. Also I bet Darrell has somehow managed to convince her that it's all Erikas fault. Look at his interrogation! He was gas lighting the detective's on how she gets drunk and calls the police if she believes he is cheating. It seems as though he's said this story numerous times, probably to his mother, but always excludes details of his violence.

The way this whole trial was handled was exactly the way it should have gone. His rights as a citizen of the U.S. were upheld and he had his day in court. All of the patience the judge displayed was simply to ensure there was zero ability to claim mistrial. He buried himself up there... to the frustration of many watching it was his right to do so.
