Saw him live at merlefest 2006 front row waiting for Tony rice play, I'd never heard of Darrell - I could not believe what I was watching! The most intracate fill licks whilst he was singing I've ever seen anyone do. I've been a fan ever since. There's probably nobody better at doing this kind of gritty singing style. He's written some of the best songs I've ever heard.

i'm sad!!! I was in Mooresville around that time and didn't know about Darrell Scott yet ...... next time he's within 200 miles, I'm making that show. He's without a doubt the best out there.
