Oh I do like lasagne..it's my favourite Italian pasta dish and this most legendary of Italian owned cafes does one of the best I've ever eaten..it's so far off the charts it needs one of its own. I rate the E.Pellicci Lasagne 10+out of 10

Well, Darren - over your shoulder for a large amount of that was St James' church, now converted to apartments and where my best friend of over 50 years lives. Also, in your times at EP have you noticed a guy, in his 70s, skinny but eats like a horse, with short grey hair? My mate Norm does a lot of errands for Nev and co. in return for a discount... he is in there almost every day! 🤣

Get yourself down to the old Country Darren, a long weekend in Bologna might suit, Ducati museum and factory are there. Bologna is lovely with its "Portici" covered arches, it's known as the stomach of Italy. Tonnes of restaurants, bars, delis & snack places etc.

nothing like fresh made Italian food made to an Italian recipe . I make about 20 portions of my own tomato sauce and freeze it for later us so I can bang out lasagne's and bolgonese with them on a whim - family loves it

I always enjoy your content DJ. That meal looked great - and that cafe is a special place in London history You said you've never been to Italy and hinted you are unlikely to change that. Why not take a trip out there just for a few days? The best food ive ever eaten is in places off the beaten track in Rome and Venice. See what you think. You could vlog from there too.

Hi Darren First of all happy 2023 to you and yours'. First time i've been in london was in 1968 waiting to join my first ship at 16 ½ years of age (ohhhh what a time) !!!!! hahaha. That's when i stepped into Pellici's the first time and never failed to visit on every occasion i have to be in London. Food is good, service is good, makes you feel so welcome.. All in all a 100% Best package.. Even though i think i'm a very good cook but when i saw you sinking that lasage (pronounced Lazania) i was drooling hehehehe.. If uoi don't mind me mentioning one good place i like a distance from E London is Toffs in Muswell Hill for Fish and chips. I simply love it ..Regards mate and stay safe as numbers seems to be going up again :( :(

Looks lovely there. Lasagne is cooked by me and I do it really well. It’s the ragu. I make a soffritto and pork and beef good mince but the Italian Nona uses milk to tenderise the meat for the sauce. They also dot the top with butter too before cooking 😊 it’s delicious with creamy béchamel and cheeses 🧀 great video 🎉
