Hi Darren, sorry that all has not gone to plan, your time on the ferry sounds like something out of a “Carry On” movie, possibly “Carry On Afloat”?? The good part is that despite the hiccups along the way, you can say with a considerable amount of pride that you did a road trip to Tenerife and back which would be the envy of many a motorcyclist. The most important part is that your family will be proud of you as we all are.

I'd be seeking compensation from that ferry company for their complete incompetence, I have never witnessed such an abysmal effort which in effect ruined what should have been a great experience for Steve and yourself. We do the drive from uk to tenerife every year and travelled back a week after you, its not as bad as you make out, but we are more prepared with our own drinks, we have a dog friendly cabin. The ship you sailed on is not the regular ship, the regular ship is The Marie Curie which is much larger and more modern, also the food is hot, it seems to be a spanish thing to have tepid food

The ferry company have let you down big time in every department. Schedule delays, awful food, ill functioning cabins, not the mention the exorbitant cost - just a complete cluster f***! I would be making a serious complaint and demanding a substantial refund! To55ers!

Hi Darren, I’ve been watching your videos for quite a while now but this road trip has really been painful viewing. I don’t comment on peoples videos much but couldn’t help this. Mainly what you’ve shown us is rainy service stops,bathrooms full of drying clothes and ferry canteens. Three main queries:- 1. You knew it was a road trip/holiday,but you never properly planned where to put luggage. 2. You’re a KZbinr,but you had nowhere to put your camera. 3. You knew which ferries and times and journey time,so why didn’t you book a cabin prior to arrival ? And finally you were late for the bike shop in Huelva on way home. Has Tenerife not got anywhere to buy waterproofs/camera mount/luggage rack ?? Safe journey home hopefully but can’t watch anymore.
