Great video Darren. When I'm on youtube I always think, I'll take a look to see what Darren has posted. I love your enthusiasm as someone who is fairly new to wildlife photography. I have been photographing wildlife for many years but I am not by any means, an expert. I still have to google to see what I have photographed when I get home. I have recently moved from Canon to Sony and I am very happy with the results. Thanks again for making my weekend.

Morning Andy, Thanks for the lovely comment and I’m pleased you enjoyed the video. I’ve always enjoyed wildlife but trying to identify different species is a huge learning curve, especially birds who look completely different when they have their fledgling coats. It’s also made me appreciate my local area as it’s never really inspired me for landscape photography. 2020 has been sucky, but at least there has been some real positives Take care bud and I hope you enjoy the forthcoming weekend 🍺

Great video Darren, the fawn is first seen at 5:50 (its ears are by her fore leg) it's why she was bobbing her head, to get the fawn to stay down in the grass until she's certain you're not a threat. If you were, she'd have bolted and left the fawn hidden.

Good stuff Darren. Always a special moment when you see wild deer, more so when they are happy to stay around even once they have seen you. I am not sure I have seen you smile so much on a vlog. I am fortunate to live 5 minutes walk to a deer park - still a challenge to get decent photos, but at least I know that there are 300+ deer around even though sometimes they can seemingly disappear completely. The falling in was comedy gold. So glad you were filming at the time. At least all the equipment was saved. Last time I fell in somewhere, I went face-first complete with camera. Fortunately no one was around to see or film. Keep up the great vlogs

Fantastic and hugely entertaining video Darren; what a fabulous moment to capture! Like most wild animals, deer will spot movement very quickly; it's a very typical roe-deer trick to watch you intently for some time and then drop their heads to feint going back to browsing only to snap them back up directly at you, hoping that you'll make a mistake and move. The doe was also obviously being bothered by flies, again common in summer. You obviously had the wind with you as she didn't seem unnerved by human scent......and I'm sure there was quite a lot of 'scent' in the car on the way home after falling in the ditch! :-) Great stuff!

amazing video!! You’ve inspired me to hopefully start making wildlife photography videos too! I’m 14 and I’d absolutely love to become a professional wildlife photographer one day😊I have an Instagram account, croome_photography This video is great and the deer photos and footage is brilliant! Well done😄😄

You’re not a proper wildlife photographer unless you fall in a ditch, bog or at least a pond from time to time lol 😂 quality 😂 ... I have that hide too, pretty good and a good price to boot.. most deer will do this, foot stomping, maybe a short charge or a bark at you etc to get you to move if they can’t quite make you out or smell or hear you, once you move that’s it they’re off, great vlog buddy 😁🤙 ....
