Darren I appreciate the tips you give my man... I have only been bowling a year but thanks to you I know how to work the inside of the ball and yo yo snap that ball. I can never bowl straight unless I take so much hand out it now(by straight I mean the way lance bowls up the right gutter... Mine hooks too fast). I've learned to flatten my hand out for my spares, and also I would like to say I converted the 7-6-10!! Appreciate you fella

Yes I bowl in three 5 man leagues I don’t mind them I average above 205-218 rn in them. I just find that the transition happens a lot quicker which is to be expected only down fall for me is that it takes very long to finish some nights

So I found my old 2006 NCBC All stars book and realized I bowled with your brother Michael in almost every tournament I did lol I remember that year he became the youngest to bowl a 300 game. There's quite a few versions of the Hustler urethanes, I have the Red Pearl version, and it's a pretty good ball, layout i use 5X4X3½ (2ls) which is considered, versatile across every pattern.

I bowl a 5 man Leauge and I honestly love it. It’s a mix of fun and competitive it just depends on how you enjoy bowling. I love constantly having to stay in the game in order to score high and it’s always fun being able to swing the whole lane later in the night

I bowl two 5 man leagues a week, it all depends on who you bowl against in my opinion, the majority of time you can get out in 3 hours, but if you bowl a slow team it's not very fun being there for 4 hours, I prefer the 3 man I bowl in the summer, get to bowl an extra game and get out at the same time as the 5 man league.

Our Thursday night league just went to five man. We start a half an hour earlier but end at the same time we did when it was a foreman league. I like it because it allows more people to bowl, but it also takes forever.

So my hubby is in a 5 man league and he’s also the secretary I go and hangout nothing else to do lol! But it can take forever though that’s the down side to that! It starts at 6:30 and we usually don’t get home until like 10!

I was in a 5 man league for years. It is long, but some things alleviate that. Mine was on thursday so thursday night football was always on so we didn't notice the time as much. I think it really tests your adjusting skills because the lanes can get gross with 10 people on them.

I did a 5 man leage about 15 years ago, it was cool, but it also took FOREVER most nights. After I left the league, I swore I would only do 4's, trios, or doubles leagues from now on.

If you enjoy slower pace, 5-man is good. Balls are an issue if you or others are not keeping an eye on the rack. Lanes definitely shape a bit faster especially if many are using urethane or solids..

In a 5 man league for the 2nd season and it’s 32 weeks long. The nights are long but for the sake of becoming more consistent I enjoy it. Brews, talking anime, Monday night football. It can get late which isn’t so fun.

Also the rhythm can be hard if people aren’t taking it as seriously. Sanctioned league though so most of the time it goes smoothly

The sloppier the better! 🎳💦 That urethane ball doesn't shape a ton, but it has insane pin action. Never bowled urethane, I'd love to try, not sure it'd work on my local lanes.

Haven't bowled a 5 man league, but highschool probably isnt much different Our centwr was home to 6/8 teams in our section so it was packed every week and most teams were there at 2:30 and out around 6:00

I love the competition that comes from more players, but it can be draining, especially if you're bowling bad cause not only is it way more frustrating to bowl bad for 3 hours, it messes up your physical game for a longer period of time because you have a longer period of doing the wrong thing

The secrets to increasing your rev rate.... The basic kegel method is taught on a series called kegel teen masters. Been on KZbin for over a decade. If you want to contact the coach Darren worked with, it's most likely Alexander Gurkov who is now in Vegas.

Hammer effect and widow 3.0 for me. The effect was everything I was looking for. With it I ended up getting my personal game high to a 254 without cap.. Im still kind of a new bowler as I'm only in my 2nd league ever but I've had penty of fun, met some cool ppl and improved a lot along the way. Grew up in southern CA and all we had was 5 person leagues. It wasn't until I left CA that I found out there were 4 person leagues, 2 and even 3 person leagues. Back in the day bowling leagues in CA was very popular every house I bowled league in was full and nothing but 5 person teams. During the weeknights of leagues there would be two one that started at 6 pm and the other would start at 9 pm. I don't know about weekend leagues because on the weekends that I didn't have duty (yes, I served 20 years in the US Navy, did 14 of my 20 years in CA., 2 years in Japan and my last two years was spent in Verginia Beach, VA at NAS Oceana) I was bowling in tournaments for either ABT or NABI.

Bowled 5 man last year and it SUCKS!!! Two teams, 10 bowlers, 30+ bowling balls. All lanes filled, over 240 bowling balls. Ball return rack over flowing, warning going off for ball blocking return. Takes 3+ hours. Most bowling centers no longer have enough seating, space for 5 man teams plus guests. Nope, Nada, Nyet.

5-man league is for fun. Averages in mine range from 100 to 220's. I'm using it to learn how to adjust to that game 2 transition that kills me (I Average 178). Lanes blow up quickly. Time wise it's 3 hours but the team is fun.

The house I bowl at has two five man leagues, both are labeled competitive. From my experience it's better for those who throw it down the side and let it come in on its own, any one who hooks the lane more can do well but you fight the transition much more than everyone else. I didn't care for the one I was on simply because these guys acted like it was the pba not an average house shot with barely enough oil to hold a line for 3 or 4 shots before moving.

Yea i like a more faster pace when i bowl. My avg on Thursday night 5 man league is like a 206 right now and Friday 4 man league is around 215. Faster pace just seem to work out better and plus my Friday night team just pumps out strikes

It'd be nice to see validation on your rev rate increase. Most, if not all, coaches will say changing something takes time and will usually negatively impact your game until it becomes fluid. To master a new technique in 10 minutes without sacrifice to swing, timing, accuracy, etc is either likely not true or you were likely already doing the "change."

Twice a week local house 5 man team love my ion max pin down just shot 300 over weekend with it and average about 242 in last 8 games with it and drilled harsh reality pearl and that ball is a hook monster and love the oil!!!!

I bowl a 4 man team league on old wood and on the second squad and we never know what we get. It could be so dry I could throw my sanded plastic ball from 15 to the gutter and back or it might be flooded so I can use my big dull balls for all 3 games or most of the time I can throw a solid black ball with polish and move all over and get away with it.

I bowl in a 4 and 5 man league. The 5 doesnt bother me anymore than less. I can adjust how i throw the ball and my revs arent pba levels so i can get by with small adjustments.
