As a disabled vet who like to rebuild vintage tube radios a meter as well built as this one , would allow me to do more Thanks for letting me enter your contest

It's a work of beauty. It looks better constructed than the DE-5000 LCR meter. I wonder how they would compare as far as use. But its almost three or four times as much. Anyway, thank you for your hard work reviewing the Sanwa products this week. I think we all look forward to your next review.

About this ESR function helpful to test the component without removing it from the board, I came to know for the first time.

Nice review. Saw some LCR meters online it was educational to see how one actually works , esp those additional functions like ESR although you did not test the series parallel function. Thanks.

A work of art. This would be handy in the home lab for sorting, like you say. Still, might be too pricey for my budget.

The Sanwa is probably the BEST LCR Meter I own. Extremely accurate, fast and loads of options. 👍

Wow. I'm a noob and that's just so expensive but looks really well built. Reminds me about the rule of thumb with Japanese and German engineering and quality standards.

LCR meter is a great tool...you might not use it often but its incredibly useful when needed!
@yambo594 жыл бұрын
Really enjoyed this review, theres something very zen about using such a high quality device to get down in the weeds with the really finite low value measurements - this one reeks quality as well and I get your point on the short time power down etc. but I was expecting a 4 out of five star result, but after I thought about it and the price range youre in here I can see your position. Sure is one nicely crafted instrument though.

Couldn't agree more!! This LCR METER is definitely ZEN...Keeps me calm while I'm doing my deed!

nice review Darren. that LCR700 looks decent. i noticed the 12V DC input jack is center-negative, so commonly 12V DC wall power supply might not be able to be used for it.
@KeepOnTesting4 жыл бұрын
I believe its a proprietary dc power supply but I will confirm with SANWA. 👍

Great quality with all the necessary goodies. At 400 dollars I wish Sanwa would include a booklet of ESR reference chart. As always, great review Darren 👍

Nice and useful LCR-Meter, but... ... Rubber housing does not protect the display. Why...? ... Max limit of 20 mF. (At least, the competitors, as far as I know, doesn´t have more, too). Just simply: It would have been nice... ... Getting the ESR- measurement (probably one of the most used functions) is overly complicated. Why...? Why not a separate button? ... And again: Using 9V-batteries. Why...? The review is plain informative and entertaining as always.

Actually, DER EE is the OEM factory for Sanwa LCR700 from design to production.

all these instruments use the same Cyrustek chipset, you can spend half the price for a chinese one.I in my opinion, not a huge step from the 4070(28€ shipped)

all these instruments under 250€ use the same chipset (two ic) so the performance is the same. They are all overpriced in my opinion, the correct price should be under 100€.I think it is not a huge step from BM4070 (28€ )
@KeepOnTesting4 жыл бұрын
BM4070 - I LOVE it but in no way is it comparable to the LCR700... Manual Ranging/No Auto LCR No User Adjustable Frequency No Sorting capabilities No Dual Display No Backlight No ESR Limited LCR Functions No contest..! Yes the BM4070 is cheap and serviceable but is in no way in the same league as the LCR700. 😁
