Dear Darren. I am 52 years old, living in Italy. I was use to play guitar since my 10 years, then in bands until my 30s. Then I quit. For 20 and more years in a row. I am now investing many hours on this course, during the Italian Coronavirus lockdown. It's giving me faith and focus to overtake this terrible situation. I bet that you eved didn't imagine such situation when you recorded this lesson. You made this video for good, in my case, helping me, in some way, to survive. You gave me a lot in this disaster. I'll bring you and your song in my heart for ever. That's what blues means to me. Thank you Darren. Stay safe.

Hi, Darren! I'm from Hong Kong and the blues music scene is almost non-existent. I've always been hooked to the blues since I was young. Thank you for educating me about acoustic blues! You have no idea how much I appreciate your efforts!!! I started playing electric blues after hearing John Mayer, Eric Clapton, Joe Bonamassa and SRV. Recently, I was hooked on the sound of acoustic guitar playing the blues and came across your channel. I must say that you are one of the best educator here on KZbin. May God bless you, mate!

I wanna thank you for playing the whole song, part of me enjoying listening to a lesson is more than just a short little lick but actually hearing what the whole thing sounds like so I have no complaints about the playing part being long. Well done I will subscribe.

I like the way you emphasise counting the beats. I wish I had seen your video 40 years ago. I had to learn all this the old school way. Dropping the needle on the record over and over and over............

Super appreciate you posting this. I just finished learning part 1 and part 2. Gonna learn part 3 tomorrow. It’s nice because this is a pretty difficult blues to play (at least for me) and it helps push my limits on the guitar. Great lesson! Excited to have the whole piece down.

Darren Watson Official Channel Possibly! I have clocked you at 80 bpm. I am at 35-40 with a kink here and there (B add #9 and F thumb wrap). Man, I can’t even think at 80 bpm at this point. Also, I need to start reinforcing my fingernails ,but I will see what can do!

Sorry. I don't do notation.
@rogerhoman84426 жыл бұрын
Darren doesn't ever work with tab or notation... it's super easy to tab out.. just count in triplets... same as him... 1 and ah - 2 and ah - 3 and ah- 4 and ah ... just download a blank tab page off the internet and print 10 - pages ... use a pencil (so can correct any mistakes) .. i did it this way... super easy
@okolonaarkansaskid4 жыл бұрын
I can do the licks, but keeping the thumb consistent is a bitch!!!
@marcoslima7796 Жыл бұрын
Good job. Your content is very good, but use tablature like SWIFT LESSONS, please, because without tablature it is more difficult to learn. If you do this, I believe your videos will be more successful.
@darrenwatsonmusic Жыл бұрын
Hi. Thanks for the suggestion re: Tab I choose not to offer or work with any form of notation by choice. I'm not interested in being more successful on KZbin I'm just working on becoming a better musician. If people get something out of these free lessons then that's awesome but I'm not running a business on here. Cheers D
