Darryl Cotton - South Australian Music Hall Of Fame Induction Video

Darryl Cotton of Zoot was posthumously inducted into the SA Music Hall Of Fame on 24th November 2017. Darryl was inducted alongside Zoot bandmate Beeb Birtles and friend Barry Smith of the Town Criers at the German Club Adelaide.

Me too! Never met him...Darryl was my mum's cousin, she used to tell me about playing with baby Darryl. Knew his parents, and his grandmother Marge was my after school hours carer for a few years, so knew her very well. When I was growing up, he was overseas. I saw him at his father's funeral, but that's not the time to say hello. Was going to catch Cotton Keays Morris in Sydney and send a message backstage so I could meet him, but I got sick...turned out to be his last gig. Last spoke to Gloria (mum) about 2 years ago, don't know if she's still going or not.
