I have just 3 of your videos. Never have I used "scales" or Theory. I was a 15 year old who learned to play guitar by listening to records, cassettes, and watching people play. I wrote, performed live rock/metal and even got lucky enough record with some good people for close to 30 years and never has someone explained to me what all those things that, what I consider, a true Musician knows like you just showed me. Plus, how it applies. Thank you. I have never been a musician because of that lack of understanding. I'm a guitar player. I would like to be a musician.

Please make a video about interval shapes. What I mean is how to have a root note on any string and locate all the intervals (3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13) on the other five strings within a 3 fret radius
@DarrylSyms5 жыл бұрын
I’ve already done videos on this, and even have an entire in depth course on this topic on my online school. Please check it out 🙂 Otherwise just search my channel for “intervals” and see what you find ✌️

I have a question For example the Major 9 chord which consist of (1, 3, 5, 7, 9) in total of 5 notes, is that only all the notes in any Major 9 chord? etc...
@DarrylSyms3 жыл бұрын
Correct. You don’t have to play them all, you could omit the 5, even the 7 if you give it sufficient context - but technically that is the correct formula for a Major 9 chord, and it always will be
