A customer of mine waited over 8 months to get a regular cast aluminum big Chevy block for a build. After that time they still couldn't get him a block simply because they are at the mercy of the foundry. Maybe being able to make a billet block would keep that from happening even though it'll probably always be more expensive.

WOW!!!! I am impressed!!!!! How about a billet 409 engine block? Bored and stroked out to 454 cubic inches. Something to consider for the future. Thanks for sharing!!! You made my night!!!!!

I’ve owned Noonan billet block; the craftsmanship was just stunning. I tried to order one from DART/Energy, but they weren’t interested in selling me one. I guess I wasn’t cool enough on the phone, or I didn’t say ‘Bro enough times within 20 seconds. 🤷♂️

Can yall do cooling jacketed billet aluminum cummins B6.7 performance blocks? Looking for low clearance custom heads, dry sump lubrication system and so forth. As light weight as humanly possible (yes i know, silly silly to ask to make a light B-series, but im serious).

I need a 7.3 Godzilla block made because l plan to fit it into my ford falcon. I think the less weight in the block would improve the cars handling. What will l need to do...should l bring the block so you can measure it? And how much would that roughly cost?
@SummitRacing3 жыл бұрын
Hi Peter, We are unable of a Godzilla option in a Dart Billet Block. I would recommend you contact Dart Machinery directly @ 248-362-1188

I wonder if they can make a cummins or duramax diesel block? Doesnt chevy or ford freak out when they copy their design?
@s.v.gadder14437 жыл бұрын
Michael Cuff they don't 100% copy they"custom design"

The popular engines were designed in the 50’s and were phased out in the 2000’s. It’s bad PR to go after enthusiasts or the companies supplying aftermarket parts. Detroit isn’t that dumb

I am looking for a aluminum block build for a 2004 Jeep Rubicon for both offroad and street applications. Any recommendations ?
@SummitRacing4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your question. The most cost effective solution would be a 5.3 or 6.0 Aluminum block LS engine. These are available from junkyards with transmissions, accessory drive, ECM and harness, etc. There is a lot of aftermarket support for the swaps. Summit Racing and the OnAllCylinders.com blog have identification articles by VIN code etc. that can help you determine which engine came in what vehicles. There are upgrade articles for all 46 Gen. 3 and Gen. 4 engines as well.

How can they machine a water jacket in a billet block? I think that's what they said they can do..
@juansolo16177 жыл бұрын
Sleeves. I don't think they're running aluminum sleeves. They're using insert ductile iron sleeves, no doubt. The water jacket would exist between the sleeve and the block.

Should be called DART Engineering or DART Engine Manufacturing, but maybe the name of the business and what its called might have repercussions for TAX issues for the company ?
