What a beautiful pony breed! I first saw one on the Friesian Horse videos in Friesland. A Dartmoor named Johnny lives at that farm. A handsome fellow he is! Now if I ever make it to England I will try to go to Dartmoor! 😊

Johnny is such a handsome lad. You should keep up with the Friesian farm. Yvonne, Johnny's human mum, has been badly injured.

My favorite size is 14hh as I am a small woman. We had Welsh. They were so sweet, healthy and beautiful. We had three Welsh/Arabs. One of them had been pasture bred by a Welsh stallion when we bought her.. My eight year old son went cross-country alone and safely on our two smallest ponies, trotting and galloping. The Dartmoor is a pretty pony too.

My filly was born in March, In a rainstorm, in Northern California...she did just fine...weird combo, Mim, Arab, Welsh and Morgan...Dad, TB. She ended up a 14.2 H mini TB:)

Short head with a thick stout neck. They appear to be slightly headstrong and more skittish than other breeds.

@ Dottie, check out Johnny at " Freshian( sp) horses. That boy is GORGEOUS

@ Dottie, definitely not delicate like some Welsh ponies, the necks ARE large. Many look and move like mini Frishians ( sp)

Jean Fish Wow, he’s definitely a stud. Someone said that he’s basically a fluffer for the mares to help them get in the mood for the big Friesians. Johnny is a Chipendales or Le Bares dancer💋
