I had ocd with wuzu/recitation/salah. Subhaan Allah, I just thought that Allah is merciful and Allah cannot put His slave into such a misery. I reminded myself about "La yukallifullahu nafsan..." and a lot of other verses from quran Alhamdulillah I am over with it now... The only solution is stop thinking about it, its from shaitaan. Focus on the closeness and the essence of Salah.. focus on the fact that Allah loves you... And indeed the shiekh said it exactly what I learned, that Wuzu and Salah in itself not the objective, the objective is the zikr and remembrance of Allah... You can overcome OCD, its easy...

**OCD IS CURABLE WITHOUT THERAPY AND MEDS** I suffered from OCD for over 9 months and had the most taunting thoughts but I have been healed. I will provide a STEP BY STEP process to overcome but YOU MUST TAKE ACTION and really perform these acts or you will find yourself dealing with OCD for a very long time. I PROMISE YOU IF YOU DO THESE 4 ACTS YOU WILL BEGIN TO HEAL WITHIN DAYS!!!!!!!!! 1. WHENEVER an evil/ tormenting thought comes to mind RECITE "SURAH AN-NAS" Surah 114 OUT LOUD, verbally reciting the Quran combats whatever negative thought is going on in your mind. You can THINK 1 million thoughts at once but only SPEAK ONE thing at a time. EVERY SINGLE TIME an unwanted thought comes to mind RECITE SURAH 113 & 114. It will be mentally exhausting at first because you will realize how often you have negative thoughts but don't be discouraged by this, you will begin to realize the thoughts will lessen WITHIN DAYS. This is also scientifically proven and it is called NEUROPLASTICITY where you are training and rewiring your brain to create new neurons. If you recite the HEALING VERSES of Allah it WILL transform your mind, that is a promise from Allah. 2. Read Quran every single day... in the morning and at night, I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. THE HOLY QURAN IS NOT CALLED "AL-SHIFA" FOR NO REASON (meaning the book of HEALING). IT IS A HEALING!!!!!!!!! THE WORDS WILL HEAL YOUR MIND, that is a promise from Allah. 3. PRAYER, STAY IN COMMUNICATION WITH ALLAH. NOT ONLY DURING SALAT BUT THROUGHOUT THE DAY. JUST TALK TO ALLAH OUT LOUD AND THIS WILL ALLOW YOU TO STOP THINKING NEGATIVELY. When you talk to Allah throughout the day he will put your mind, heart and soul at ease. That is a promise from Allah. 4. STAY CONSISTENT WITH THE 3 STEPS I'VE PROVIDED ABOVE. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. IF YOU DO THESE AND STAY CONSISTENT EVERY SINGLE DAY AND NEVER MISS NOT ONE DAY... WALLAHI, YOU WILL BEGIN TO FEEL BETTER IN A MATTER OF DAYS.. I DEALT WITH OCD FOR 9 MONTHS. I HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR 2 WEEKS AND I AM HEALING WALLAHI !!!!!!!!!!!!!! WITH THE HELP OF ALLAH HE IS CURING THIS MENTAL DISEASES THAT THEY SAY HAS NO CURE!!!!!!!!! OTHER TIPS DURING YOUR HEALING STAGE: Stay off social media so you can focus, try to replace listening to music, TV shows and being on your phone aimlessly to talking to Allah or reading Quran & stop researching your symptons (it will only scare you).

I'm recently dealing with these wudhu and salah based wasaawis, and that final point/story of Ml Rasheed Ahmad Gangohi really solidified a lot for me. Just being able to really detach your own self from these thoughts and realize that it's an annoying little devil trying to bother you makes it so much easier to actually deal with. A lot of times it gets hard to deal with because shaytan makes it seem as though they are coming from our own mind, but really we have to really rationalize and visualize the fact that it is a trickster trying to play with us! JazakAllah Khayr!

Long ago when I used to repeat the prayer, I couldn't complete the prayer. I mean I offered fard, thought it's invalid, then again offered fard, thought it's not correct , ( for whatever reason) and kept on repeating. Due to this repetition of fard I was not able to offer the sunnnah muakkadah, and wajib or nafl etc . Now alhamdu LILLAH situation is better. Discuss Ur problem with a religious guide or mufti if you need to. in Shaa ALLAH u will find solution. @malak Karim, I feel the same. Ended up doing wudhu multiple times. When it's prayer time I feel anxious about wudhu when I stand up for prayer I feel like my wudhu will break. I'm suffering from this for the last 6 months. I'm really worried about my salah. I have IBS which makes things much worse. Sometimes I feel like maybe I should just give up on salah and don't pray. Because most of it happens only when I make wudhu and pray. Other times I feel normal. It only happens when I pray. It's happening every day not just one day. I'm tired of it, I feel sad. I'm also worried about my Salah because I can't concentrate on my salah. I don't want to ever leave a Single Salah. I used to pray at the mosque now because of this I'm praying at home. I feel bad about it.

@@niloy9026 a sign that it is wasawis is when it happens only around the time you do wudu or salah or something like this, now I don’t know if this automatically means it is wasawis but it is a sign, and this may be what Shaytan wants, you already started praying at home instead of at the mosque, you are now sad and are having some thoughts, so what u could do is gain some knowledge because with knowledge the wasawis usually fade away

My OCD started with small things like checking oven multiple times and then doing wudu, thinking about if my wudu and prayer were valid etc. But the worst happened through excessive fear/anxiety I got from shaytans waswasa on Islamic creed. I still suffer so much, but how comes my situation never is like anyones I read or hear about? Everything I read about Allah, Islam and Quran makes questions and doubts arise in my head making me feel anxious and feeling like a Kafir or Hypocrite audhubillah 😢😢 I cant focus or work anymore, it feels like my life and my afterlife are ruined. I question my certainty multiple times a day and even question if I am being sincere in questioning it. Also sometimes I think about „what if this is not OCD but actual doubts?“ and I start getting anxious again, I‘ve talked to sheikhs and one muslim psychiatrist but all they told me was „Its waswasa and OCD, keep going“ and I try but just when I think of Allah the words and doubts throw in my head and I cant even read Quran properly due to the thoughts. I am feeling lost, has anyone just one person had this situation?? Why do I feel like I am alone with this problem, I pray and make dua to Allah and I try to think good of Allah but then the thoughts pile up in my head again. I feel like I am in a constant loop of doubts, fear and anxiety. Ya Allah help me and heal me 😭😔😔

Bro I have been fighting with the wudu/ghusl/najas thing for 19 years, mostly manageable aH, but this year my entire world got turned upside down. This stuff started affecting core tenants of deen as well. The past 6 months have been absolutely unimaginable (to people who haven’t been through this). The initial shock gave me panic attacks/mania and developed into bipolar. I was debilitated and unable to work my job, I felt like a zombie. Everything becomes so hard trying to reaffirm faith all the time, and trying to put my mind at peace, especially before wudu or salat. Questioning what’s an actual thought vs. whispers. I also wondered how many people in the world that are going through this hardship. Know that you aren’t alone, iA with Allah’s help we will get through this as much as it seems “impossible”. We just have to hang on and not give up, make dua and know that there are some things that you will not rationally comprehend in this life. YQ is one of the few scholars on YT that touch on this line of issues. PM me if you’d like.
@abdullahasif64904 ай бұрын
@@IT_FarhanI'm also suffering from these issues. I think that my knowledge is not enough regarding taharah. It all started when my mom gone to umrah and at that time I have to wash my clothes by my own in a semi automatic washing machine. At that time I go on KZbin and searched how to purify clothes from najasah....I found out the the way my mum was washing the clothes is not appropriate(according to hanafi madhab). It all basically started from there...I started focusing on my family members that maybe someone is doing something wrong or not. Now today is my condition is that I bath for aroundhalf an hour and even more thinking that the najasah maybe on my face is not washed yet thoroughly, I am arguing with my parents on daily basis like you are doing that wrong, the najasah is not washed yet, why are you taking slippers ther, why are you going outside without slippers and yes they are wrong in many matters and they also did not pay much attention on their taharah (maybe becoz of lack of knowledge or maybe I don't have knowledge that's why I'm thinking that). I was a practicing guy and used to pray consistently but as of now I'm not praying consistently, not going anywhere from the house. I don't know what to do and whom to seek help from. I am afraid to go to meet any any scholar, I think that they would not understand my problem and would scold me. Please ignore my English mistakes.
@rianno_name11714 ай бұрын
@abdullahasif6490 sorry to hear that you are going through this. Sounds like you are going through the cycle of ocd. The only way to break the cycle is to not pay attention to the thoughts, only notice they are there. Your brain has attached meaning to it, so it thinks it is something that is to be feared so it has activated your brains amygdala, fight or flight response. If you continue to do the obsession, checking if something is clean over and over it only reinforces the anxiety. You have to ride the anxiety and sit with it. Over time your brain learns that it is not dangerous/something to be fearful of. It's uncomfortable at first, but gets easier as the anxiety goes down. Hope this helps. If you are able to get therapy, please do. Take care.
@rianno_name11714 ай бұрын
How are you doing? This is the cycle of ocd- it makes you doubt, gives you intrusive thoughts, if you continue to justify, reassure, check etc. Your brain has learnt over time, through compulsive behaviour I.e checking in yo case, that it has to give you an intrusive thought to remind you to check. But the thing with checking is that if you do it repeatedly, you become less and less sure because your brain will continue to give the same thoughts (intrusive thought, anxiety, fear). You have to try and break this cycle, otherwise you will be stuck and your fight and flight (amygdala) will continue to believe that there is danger and will not learn that there is no danger. Then the intrusive thoughts and other symptoms will calm down, and you will start to feel much better. At first it is hard to break the cycle and your brain will fight you and try and pull you back into checking behaviours, but you have to push through it. Then it will lose its power and your rational thinking will take over. I hope you are doing better. Please get therapy if you can, it will help a lot.

Leave that doubt .... believing that you wouldn't have come to pray if you had not performed wudu

There is a qaa'eda shar'ee : only certainty can break another certainty. The certainty is you made wuduu. Unless there is a certainty something broke your wuduu / or certainty you didn't do wuduu to begin with, your wuduu is valid

I get this during Ramadan, so is this shaitan or me?
@sairahabdullah15743 жыл бұрын
It's not you. Because not all the shaitans are locked up. Only the stronger ones. Kepp focusing on your connection with Allah and it will go away in sha Allah
